i play guitar aswell and i know how hard it is to read music.
first of all you must basically be able to know all the notes and thier names on the fretboard then u have made a start. most of the confusin stuff is with the timing signatures, so just be careful with those.
then try to write out on a peice of sheet music the notes in a scale or somethin starting from low to high.
the guitar uses a treble clef, and a bass uses a bass clef!!
reading music is exactly the same 4 all instruments so if u play piano or somethin then thats even better but if u dont try and find someone hoo does cuz they are bound to read music and just practice along with them!!
