Takeharu 'Lady' guitar. Heard of it?

Hi,

I have a little classical guitar I know nothing about - a web search hasn't turned up anything, and I'd be really grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction to find some info.

It has quite a slim soundboard - much less rounded than most guitars - not unlike how classical guitars looked in the 17-1800's though I know this one is fairly recent, certainly not older than 30 years or so.

The label inside says "Kiso Suzuki violin company. Lady's Takeharu special. Takeharu guitar, made in Japan. 50905 LGT-30A"

Any help would be much appreciated!

BUZZING Takeharu

who else has a takeharu that makes a buzzing sound (im not sure if its the tunners or in the nut slot, or a combination of both) when you pluck the d string with your thumb?

SUZUKI F-120

I have a Suzuki F-120 (12 string) and would like to know what it's worth. Was given to me by a friend about 15 years ago. Thanks.

Re: SUZUKI F-120

: I have a Suzuki three S model F-120 12-string, too. I bought it new in San Francisco in 1978 for a little over a hundred dollars. I don't think it's worth much money but it's a great instrument! The craftsmanship, action, setup and sound are great. I wish I knew more about the history of these guitars. I believe the Suzuki Violin Company still exists, but I don't think the Three S guitars are still made.

Suzuki Tree of Life

Ihave a Suzuki Guitar and the model # is W08260BB. The guitar is about 20 years old and it sounds better than anything that I have ever played in my life. I didnt know that anymore even existed untill I started searching on the net. The guitar I have been told is called a Tree of Life. The guitar has a pearl tree running down the neck. I would like to know what its worth ( not for sale ) and if anyone has one they would like to sale.

Re: Suzuki Tree of Life

Hi Anaud,
I have a J. Watson & Co. acoustic guitar, which looks almost identical to the Suzuki Kiso, made around 1973. I'm almost certain that it was made by Suzuki, and it plays better than most of the higher priced modern acoustics. It is a model WD 150D-BK (the BK probably means black, which it is). I have pictures of it. I am trying to find out about its history and "provenance" - there is some link with Johhny 'Guitar' Watson. Is it in the catalogue that you have? Any information would be great.
regards
Terry
