For the past 15 years John has been teaching music and guitar to Hollywood celebrities, established rock stars, and guitar enthusiasts of every level of experience. He has become one of the most in demand instructors in Los Angeles.
After regularly having a roster of forty to fifty students a week John realized that he had to get his method out to everyone who could benefit by it. In 2000, as a solution to this challenge, he founded Green Monster Music through which he has written, produced, and published the Monster Guitar Method instructional DVD series. These interactive videos are quickly becoming the definitive method for learning to play guitar. Having been released in 2003, the Monster Guitar Method will have reached a retail market of over forty thousand stores both in the US and internationally in less than a year.
As a fully trained musician with a degree in Music Performance from the University of Massachusetts John is also a graduate of the Anthony Robbins Mastery University. This program is a series of seminars that focuses on the mastery of personal abilities, creating breakthroughs, and charting a course for achieving any goal. Using these skills he has been asked to do a variety of instruction and coaching projects including tutoring actors in becoming more effective and convincing in playing the role of guitarist on screen. John’s coaching has also enabled artists to live healthier lives, lose weight, stop depression, and live life with a newfound vibrancy and energy.
