Check out this web site http://www.rostock.igd.fhg.de/~kugraw/slidingzone.html
It has some killer slide tabs of some good old slide songs. It has Crossroad Blues as done by Sam Mitchell. Not exactly the way Robert Johnson did it, but a damn good interpretation. Tune to Open G and slide away.....
I would like to thank you for this great information about learning blues guitar. I am only a beginner at 48years old but have listened to and dreamed that I could play blues like Muddy Waters, the Great Robert Johnson or the many others that I have listened to over the years. I may not realize my dream of ever becoming that good but maybe I can at least learn enough at my age to fulfill a small part of that dream. Thanks to you I at least have a start. I am not sure about tuning the guitar for slide playing(I have just learned to tune the standard way) and I am sure this will take time and mistakes but I will do my best. If you have any hits or tricks of the trade in this area I will be grateful. Again thanks for the geat information and I will let you know how its going with this new (older) guitar player. Oh I have a Gibson Electric hollow body(Black and ivory trim) and I love the rich sound it produces.
