Hi I am starting a band and i am the bass player. No one in my band can really sing well except for me...does any1 have any tips they can give me? is it possible to play bass and sing lead vocals and if so, please gimme tips....thank you

I'm in a similar situation. I'd imagine it's like playing the piano in that your "left hand" plays the bass line and your "right hand" does the singing. It's challenging but very satisfying. What kind of music do you play? I play folk/country with two friends.

I need to learn some advanced bass techinques..i know basic stuff but i need to learn more!

I can tell you how to start slapping and popping, but you'll have to develop your own style and approach to it

I think you should get an ESP Ltd B-50 only 210 bucks and Nince body and headstock, its made for beginners to intermediate.

hey... bass guitar isnt too incredibly difficult.... id first start by learning brain stew by green day if ur into the punk music scene... what ever your into id go to mxtabs.net. It teaches you what a tab is and everything

Hello everyone, I have been playing the bass for 17years now and I remember when I was in your shoes....
Here's your answer...Play the damm thing as much as posible
and with alot of people. as per learning fast...Pick up a cd on learning the bass...go through the boring play one note forever bullshit, very important bullshit though..these cd will help you as fast as possible.You should be able to play tunes very quickly.Remember you are learning to use your mind and fingers in a new way.It takes time.It doesn't come over night..sorry..practice makes perfect...So theres your answer...Concentrate on the where the notes are on your guitar like: A string=A-BC-D EF-G-A= one octave..email me if your still havin trouble
