PLEASE!!! i need some learning a few styles of play on my bass

i've been teaching myself how to play a four-string for about a year now, and i've gotten pretty good but i would like to learn some chili pepper stuff so if anybody knows the proper way to slap and pluck (as in funk style) would you PLEASE email me with some instructions also if you like bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Skynryd, def leppard, bon jovi and Tom Petty or your just an overall cool person, mail me at alexfinney@elp.rr.com thanks for at least taking the time to read this much rock on!
