Power chords are really easy :
E-x----x----|
B-x----x----|
G-x----3----|
D-3----3----|
A-3----1----|
E-1----x----|

There are two power chords there (and they also make the intro of smells like teen spirit), but take the first chord, move it up and down the fretboard, and the same with the second chord, but make sure not the play the muted strings (the ones marked with an 'x') - crack up the distortion and compression and that's heavy metal mastered.
