Playing a power chord (called a fifth in music terms) is very simple. Example: to play a "G" power chord, place your first finger on the 3rd fret of the 6th string (low "E"), and your third finger on the 5th fret of the 5th string ("A"). Just slide it around on the neck or use different strings to change the key.
