Re: Dream Come True by Frozen Ghost

Has anyone been succesful in finding the sheet music? It was the first dance at our wedding, our 10th anniversary is coming up, and I am desperate to find it as an anniversary gift so she can play it on the piano.

does anyone have the lyrics for Amazing by Alex Loyd?

Here are the lyrics

I found these at www.lyricspoint.com

FROZEN GHOST: Dream Come True

Love of my life
I don't have a lot to give you
What's in my heart
Is all that I can really give you
Love...undying love is all I have
A handful of words
That might make you laugh
And all the strength you need
To make it through all your troubled times
I give all of myself to you, only you
My dream come true
Love of my life
You are all I ever wanted
To be with you is all I ever really wanted
You...you've made my life a fairy tale
You've added love to a life that was so stale
And know that I'll be here
Always for you, when you need a friend
I give all of myself to you, only you
My dream come true

I've been waiting my whole life for you
Now my waiting is through
All the nights I've spend dreaming I knew
That my dream would come true

So many nights
I laid awake dreaming I knew
One day I'd be with you
Now all my nights of dreaming are through
'Cause my dream has come true

Dream come true

ENJOY!!

Dream Come True chords by Frozen Ghost

I could not find this song anywhere, I see that a lot of other people couldn’t either!!
So …I sat myself down and learned it. I tried to put the chord changes as close as possible to the lyrics. The chord changes come on pretty much every 2 count, Just listen to the song if you get confused.

New MP3.com Blues Artist Nobby Reed is awesome!!

NEW MP3.COM BLUES ARTIST COVERS ALL THE GREATS!
Nobby Reed puts 35 years worth of experience into his blues!

August 23, 2000

MP3.com has just gotten a new Blues Artist on board! Norbert "Nobby" Reed has just placed several of his original songs up on the internet music website.

Reed's soulfully skilled playing style evokes emotion and emits passion through out all his songs!

Reed has successfully learned the styles of guitar greats Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Albert Collins, Albert King, Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, and many others! His own style is a unique blend of Blues, Rock, Jazz, Country and Fusion.

The first entries into MP3.com include songs such as:

Santana Sonata: a personal tribute to Carlos Santana that covers many Santana stylings from the early 70's through today's Rectified Santana sound!
Beck's Dilemma: which is a tribute to guitar great Jeff Beck
Led Balloon: A great Jimmy Page type rocker that really gives the listener a treat!
Respectfully Moore: A tribute to Gary Moore. (Excellent!)
Out The Bottle: A soulful, rockin' blues original off Nobby Reed's first CD: Guitar on My Back
Cryin' in My Dreams: A blues ballad with an SRV sound, reminiscent of "Lenny", but with Reed's own styling and singing. (One of his best songs!) Off Nobby Reed's second CD: It's All About The Blues

Reed has played professionally for almost 35 years, and his experience and maturity come through his music very clearly. He has played most all styles of music, but has spent his last several years focusing on the Blues.

At the time of this Press Release Reed had several songs in the process of being released on MP3.com, and has just headed into the studio to record his 3rd CD, untitled at this time.

PAF's in a Kramer

In my estimation it will tone down your sound. You will get a mellower tone(which I think is really cool in a lot of situations). You probably will find that your distortion sound doesn't have as much juice but has some cool tones that it didn't have before. To put it briefly, I think it's a great idea if you want a bluesy tone. I think it's a bad idea if you play heavy music.

Re: PAF's in a Kramer

Thanx Jeremy, I love the bluesy stuff but for now I am in a Metal cover band.

I think that the Fender Stratocaster is one and only

Fender stratocaster is the guitar that was used
by the best guitarist: Jimmy.Even Satriani declared
that the FS is the best, but he is under a sponsorship
of Ibanez. All other guitars are exuse.

NEED ADVICE ON COMPONENTS TO USE WITH MESA TRIAXIS

HEY I JUST WANTED TO POST THIS LETTER UP FOR ANYONE WHO HAS PUT TOGETHER A MESA TRIAXIS RACK RIG.
I'M LOOKING FOR RECOMENDATIONS ON A GOOD POWER CONDITIONER, WIRELESS SYSTEM , RACKMOUNT FX , RACKMOUNT TUNER , SOME TYPE OF HUSH UNIT, A NICE DROOR FOR THE RACK AND ANY THING YOU THINK I MIGHT BE MISSING FROM THE SET UP.
MY PLAN IS TO USE A MESA 12 SPACE SHOCK MOUNT RACK WITH CASTERS. AND START BUILDING

RACK SPACE# 1.POWER CONDITIONER
2.WIRELESS RACK
3.TUNER RACK
4.TRIAXIS PREAMP RACK
5.FX UNIT RACK
6.HUSH UNIT
7.MESA 2:90 POWER AMP THIS IS TWO SPACES
8. " "
9.TWO SPACE RACK DROOR
10. " "
11.OPEN
12.OPEN
THIS WILL LEAVE TWO EXTRA SPACES LEFT OVER FOR ANY GOODIES I DECIDE I NEED LATER. COULD I SAVE ANY MORE SPACE IN THIS UNIT? I WOULD RATHER HAVE A COUPLE EMPTY SPACES THAN RUN OUT OF ROOM.
THIS PROJECT IS GOING TO BE EXPENSIVE BUT MY PLAN IS TO BUY SOME OF THE EQUIPMENT USED.
********* MY REASON FOR BUILDING THIS MONSTER?*********
I AM TIRED OF HAVING TO SET UP SO MUCH CRAP ON THE FLOOR AT GIGS. MY MAIN SQUEEZE IS MY MESA DC-5 THAT SOUNDS GREAT YET I WISH IT HAD MORE THAN TWO CHANNELS. MY EQ. DELAY, WAH, TUNER, VOLUME PEDAL NEED TO BE CONSOLODATED INTO A MIDI FLOOR CONTROLLER. THERES JUST TO MANY CHORDS INVOLVED AND IT LOOKS LIKE SPAGETTI SOUP ON THE FLOOR . NOT TO MENTION THE WALL WARTS FOR THE PEDALS ( I DONT LIKE BATTERIES MUCH, I SEEM TO LOSE TONE AND SIGNAL WHEN I USE THEM).
ALSO I HAVE ( HAD ) A LINE 6 AXSYS 212 THIS RIG REQUIRED TWO CHORDS ONE FROM THE GUITAR TO THE AMP AND ONE TO FROM THE AMP TO THE FLOOR CONTROLLER.(THAT WAS COOL). UNFORTUNATELY THIS RIG IS NOT UP TO PAR ON
T O N E
ALTHOUGH IMPRESSIVE AND DEFINITLY A UPGRADE FROM A PANDORAS BOX, IT DOES NOT HAVE UN TO IT THE TUBES THAT I HOLD SO DEARLY. SO HERE I AM!
I KNOW THIS SUCKERS GOING TO BE HEAVY.

i would try plugging a guitar into it!!

lol

Re: NEED ADVICE ON COMPONENTS TO USE WITH MESA TRIAXIS

: HEY I JUST WANTED TO POST THIS LETTER UP FOR ANYONE WHO HAS PUT TOGETHER A MESA TRIAXIS RACK RIG.
The Tiraxis is a great unit with the simul 2:90. very versatile, I own two boogie racks, a 12 and 20 space. Get the rear rails, and two ballistic puches and locking casters with it.

I would recommend the following processors:
Rocktron Intellefex, T.C. Elecronics G-force, Eventide GTR 4000, Tuner Korg DTR-1 tuner (its the best), Rocktron Hush unit (althought you probably will not need it unless your are going into the studio), I would buy a Boss NS-2 noise suppressor for simple gating while playing live.

I would also invest int eh Meas boogie Abacus foot controller or the custom audio electronics Rs-10 Midi controller.

I think you have a great foundation to an awesome rack system. Let me know how you make out.
Wireless: X-wire system or Sony UHF system

Regards,

Steve Semich

Re: NEED ADVICE ON COMPONENTS TO USE WITH MESA TRIAXIS

: : HEY I JUST WANTED TO POST THIS LETTER UP FOR ANYONE WHO HAS PUT TOGETHER A MESA TRIAXIS RACK RIG.

I use a t.c. electronic G-Major with my TriAxis. It's dirt cheap and sounds great. I won't say it's better than other things because there ARE better units, but not for the money. It also has a great built-in tuner and is completely midi controllable.

So, unless you need ULTRA studio-high-end (G-Force and Eventide combine for about $4500... sheesh) this will give you all the effects you really need AND a tuner in one rack space. Check it out... I'm VERY happy with mine.

I run the TriAxis and the G-Major with a DMC Ground Control (I love how easy it is to use!). Super simple, small and versatile.... great gigging rig.

give this a try

Message From: rastaMIKE5@webtv.net (michael r mattingly)
Date: Sun, Aug 20, 2000, 7:20pm To: rastamike5@webtv.net Subject: need
extra cash .a be honest wit dis..just $6.00
GIVE THIS A TRY! YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!! A FABULOU$ WAY TO TURN
$6 DOLLAR$ INTO THOU$AND$ I found this on a bulletin board and decided
to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups and
came across an article similar to this that said you could make
thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00! So I thought, "Yeah right, this must be a scam", but like most of
us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send
$1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in the article. You then
place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #6, and
post the article in at least 200 newsgroups (there are thousands). No
catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to a few
people first, I thought about trying it. I figured, "What have I got to
lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right?" Then I invested the measly
$6.00. Well, GUESS WHAT!!... Within 7 days, I started getting money in
the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just
kept coming in. In my first week, I made $25.00. By the end of the
second week, I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I
had over $10,000.00 - and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week
and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in
rapidly. It was certainly worth the $6.00, and six stamps. I have spent
more than that on a lunch!! Let me tell you how this works and, most
importantly, why it works....also, make sure you print a copy of this
article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it. I
promise you that if you follow the directions exactly, that you will
start making more money than you ever thought possible by doing
something so easy! Suggestion: Read this entire message carefully! Print
it out or download it. Follow the simple directions and watch the money
come in! It's easy. It's legal
- and your investment is only $6.00 (plus postage) . IMPORTANT: This is
not a scam; it is not indecent; it is not illegal; and it is virtually
no risk - it really works!!!! If all of the following instructions are
adhered to, you will receive extraordinary dividends. PLEASE NOTE:
Follow these directions EXACTLY and $50,000, or more, can be yours in 20
to 60 days. This program remains successful because of the honesty and
integrity of the participants. Please continue its success by carefully
adhering to the instructions. You will now become part of the Mail Order
business. In this business, your product is not solid and tangible, it's
a service. You are now in the business of Developing Mailing Lists. Many
large corporations are willing and happy to pay big bucks for quality
lists; however, the money made from the mailing lists is secondary to
the income which is made from people like you and me asking to be
included in that list. Here are the 4 easy steps to success: STEP 1: Get
6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of
paper, "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST". Include your name and
address. Now get six US $1.00 bills and place ONE bill inside EACH of
the 6 pieces of paper (so the dollar bill will not be seen through the
envelope - this is to prevent thievery). Next, place one paper (with the
dollar bill wrapped inside) into each of the 6 envelopes and seal the
envelopes. You should now have 6 sealed envelopes, each with a piece of
paper stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a $1.00 bill.
What you are doing is creating a service. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! You
are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it! Like most
of us, I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal
aspects of it all so I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office
(1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! Put a stamp
on each envelope and mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses:
#1) Catherine Craig
P.O. Box 783
Pine Grove, La, 70453
#2) Trudy Janssen
1626 Newport Blvd. #31
Costa Mesa, CA 92627
#3) Terry Phillips
#81-9045 Walnut Grove Dr.
Langley, B.C., Canada, V1M-2E1
#4) Barry Petry
11001 Old St. Augustine Road
Apartment #720
Jacksonville, Flordia 32257
#5) Mike Scott
1812 carter
Kennett, Mo 63857
#6) michael mattingly
223 shady way
blufton sc. 29910
M1H 2V6
STEP 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the
other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc.) and add YOUR Name as
number 6 on the list.
STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as
close to the original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at
least 200 newsgroups (I think there are close to 24,000 groups). All you
need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make!
This is perfectly legal! If you have any doubts, refer to Title 18 Sec.
1302 & 1341 of the Postal laws. Keep a copy of these steps for yourself
and whenever you need money, you can use it again and again. PLEASE
REMEMBER that this program remains successful because of the honesty and
integrity of the participants and their carefully adhering to the
directions. Look at it this way, if you are of integrity, the program
will continue and the money that so many others have received will come
your way also.
NOTE: You may want to retain every name and address sent to you, either
on a computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send you. This
VERIFIES that you are truly providing a service. Also, it might be a
good idea to wrap the $1 bill in dark paper to reduce the risk of mail
theft. As each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed,
six members will be reimbursed for their participation as List
Developers with one dollar each. Your name will move up the list
geometrically so that when your name reaches the #1 position you will be
receiving thousands of dollars in CASH!!! What an opportunity for only
$6.00 ($1.00 for each of the first six people listed above). Send it
now, add your own name to the list and you're in business! DIRECTIONS
FOR HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS: (Note: if you have webtv just copy and
past this letter in any news group you can.) Step 1) You do not need to
re-type this entire letter to do your own posting. Simply put your
cursor at the beginning of this letter and drag your cursor to the
bottom of this document, and select 'copy' from the edit menu. This will
copy the entire letter into the computer's memory. Step 2) Open a blank
'notepad' file and place your cursor at the top of the blank page. From
the 'edit' menu select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the letter
into notepad so that you can add your name to the list. Step 3) Save
your new notepad file as a .txt file. If you want to do your postings in
different settings, you'll always have this file to go back to.
Step 4) Use Netscape or Internet explorer and try searching for various
newsgroups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites, and
discussions).
Step 5) Visit these message boards and post this article as a new
message by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste from
the edit menu. Fill in the Subject, this will be the header that
everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a
particular group, click the post message button. You're done with your
first one!
Congratulations...THAT'S IT! All you have to do is jump to different
newsgroups and post away. After you get the hang of it, it will take
about 30 seconds for each newsgroup! **REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWSGROUPS YOU
POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM
OF 200** That's it! You will begin receiving money from around the world
within days! You may eventually want to rent a P.O. Box due to the large
amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can
invent a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it. ** JUST
MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT ** Now the WHY part: Out of 200
postings, say I receive only 5 replies (a very low example). So then I
made $5.00 with my name at #6 on the letter. Now, each of the 5 persons
who just sent me $1.00 make the MINIMUM 200 postings, each with my name
at #5 and only 5 persons respond to each of the original 5, that is
another $25.00 for me. Now those 25 each make 200 MINIMUM posts with my
name at #4 and only 5 replies each. I will bring in an additional
$125.00! Now, those 125 persons turn around and post the MINIMUM 200
with my name at #3 and only receive 5 replies each, I will make an
additional $626.00! OK, now here is the fun part, each of those 625
persons post a MINIMUM 200 letters with my name at #2 and they each only
receive 5 replies, that just made me $3,125.00!!! Those 3,125 persons
will all deliver this message to 200 newsgroups with my name at #1 and
if still 5 persons per 200 newsgroups react, I will receive $15,625.00
with an original investment of only $6.00! AMAZING! When your name is no
longer on the list, you just take the latest posting in the newsgroups,
and send out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at
number 6 and start posting again. The thing to remember is that
thousands of people from all over the world are joining the internet and
reading these articles everyday JUST LIKE YOU are now!! So, how can you
not afford the $6.00 to see if it really works?? I think you can't
afford the opposite - to not give it a try. People have said, "What if
the plan is played out and no one sends me the money?" So what! It's
only six bucks. What are the chances of that really happening anyway
when there are tons of new honest people who are joining the internet
and newsgroups everyday and who are willing to give it a try? Estimates
are at 20,000 to 50,000 new users, every day, with thousands of those
joining the actual internet. Remember, play FAIRLY and HONESTLY
- We're all on this planet together and we're here to love one another.

CARVIN guitars...Giant Slayers what do you...... think?

I'm posting this message to see what your opinions are on Carvins guitar shop. This is the mail order company out of San Diego.
Heres my own story. I recently ordered my third Carvin guitar earlier this year. Shortly after placing my order I found a used Gibson Les Paul Custom Black with body binding and gold hardware at guitar showcase in San Jose. This guitar was gorgeous. I fell in love and bought it. This guitar was used and $1600.00 but it was in excellent condion.
Now I was in a jam because I didnt have enough money for both guitars but I could afford the cash to have them both temporarily at least long enough to test them out against each other.
I had the Gibson Les Paul set up by a reputable shop and waited for the Carvin to arrive.
My test findings were unsettling. The Guitar Gods at Gibson came up short on my list in all catagories. Now remember this was a guitar I played and fell in love with and payed hard cash for but when my Carvin showed up it just kicked its ass.
The Carvin Giant Slayer was better at
1.String action
2.neck feel
3.pickup tone
4.sustain
5.Staying in tune ( This is very important)
6.Attention to detail on the guitar finish
The Carvin sounded way better under heavy distortion
and also on clean settings. The amps at my disposal to do this test were a Mesa/Boogie Tremloverb, Mesa DC-5
a VOX,a Matchless, & a Fender Deville. My personal rigs were the Boogies. We conducted this test in a recording studio while recording our new album. I played and recorded on both guitars and a week later the Gibson was on add in the paper. Ouch thats gotta hurt!
Now I'm not saying I would'nt Play a Gibson again, I am an equal oportunity guitarist but the over priced sleeping giants are nothing more than NIKE brand names marketed by symbolism.Thats O.K. but I just wanted you to know that you can get alot more bang for your buck if your willing to bust away from the pack.
you must understand I've waited a long time to conduct this test. I am a lefty guitar player and finding lefties is allways a problem but untill now I couldnt afford the extra dough to have two guitars like this at once.
The New Carvin I ordered was not cheap either but it was $200.00 less than the used Gibson.
I ordered the Carvin 25th aniversary with a flamed KOA top. KOA five piece laminated neck(Maple Stripes) through body active/passive electronics and a fixed bridge. Abalone Block Inlays Ebony finger board.
The Works
You can also order a great guitar thats about $600.00
bucks with the same electronics and craftsman ship minus the expensive wood I ordered for mine. All their guitars are made by the same CNC computer controlled routing machines and come with a 10 day money back garantee.

If you have a story about Carvin Pro/Con I would like to hear it.

Re: CARVIN guitars...Giant Slayers what do you...... think?

i agree about the state of most the name brands...gibson is waayyyy over priced. I playes a carvin and thought it was pretty good. have had bad luck with their mixers....got one..it buzzed...a vu meter fell out...crosstalk between channels...i sent it back....same thing with their amps...quality control doesnt seem to be their thing.

i dont why their guitars havent caught on..10 day return...why dont more people play them? re sale is the pits on them...and maybe its becasue not many big guitar gods plays one...i think the whole mail order thing hurts them...no impulse buying from music stores.
maybe the waiting period on some...but its not really that long compared to other custom builders.

i have almost bought one a few times...but i think being unsure about them stopped me. if they had been in a store maybe i would have.

have you heard of Suhr guitars? i got one of those recently...sold a les paul to get it by the way!

John Suhr has also built amps, the two Tweed clones
that Clapton uses a lot recently were built by Suhr
while he still worked at the Fender Custom Shop...

Re: CARVIN guitars.

Hmm.I agree. Most guys/girls don't want to gamble on somthing as intangible as Carvin guitars. The mail order thing does seem to hurt them, but yet Carvin still
continues to make great instruments.I got lucky, found one that I love and even ran into another one almost just like it! The whole East-coast/West-coast shipping issue seems to make people wary of them. But FUCK DAT !!
As long as Carvin keeps making guitars, they'll always be aces in my book!!
Good Luck...sorry 'bout profanity.
