Re: how much is an obation guitar worth

If you want a loud guitar with bad tone and a tendency to neck problems an Ovation is just the ticket. A new one runs anywhere from around $200 or $300 for the Korean made styles to over $2000 for their top of the line ones. If you want a good guitar though, buy a Taylor, a Tacoma, a Larrivee or even an Alvarez Yairi. If you want to get rid of an Ovation, try going onto e-bay maybe. www.ebay.com

: Obation guitars aren't worth anything. Ovation guitars, however, can be worth something, though probably not too much. They simply aren't what they used to be. Check with a musical instrument appraiser for the most accurate value.

I teach lower primary students and am constantly searching for suitable songs with guitar chords to go with them. I am particularly interested in comical Aussie songs. If you know of any web sites or books that may help me I would appreciate your reply.

aqustic quitar amplifer

Any idea is the Laney LA 60 aqustic guitar amplifer ( 382$) Ok for home and small bubs.

Or any body has better idea. Marino

Re: aqustic quitar amplifer

Check out the Fender Acoustasonic amps, They are incredible. They have the most accurate reproduction of acoustic tones I think I've ever heard from such a reasonably priced amp. I think you will be pleased. Good luck.

Help!!!

My name is Wendie Meeks, I live in Grundy co. TN. All I hear from my boyfriend is how bad he would love to have an accoustic(probably not spelled right) Guitar. i know nothing about the things. I would like to find him a good one for christmas at a reasonable price.if anyone has one for sale or knows anyone who has one for sale please contact me @ wendell_17_2000@yahoo.com. Thank you for your time.

Re: Help!!!

What is your price range? I would recommend a nice Yamaha acoustic. They are quality instruments and pretty affordable too. A decent one can be purchased for about $300 and up. That will buy a great acoustic guitar. The Yamaha's sound good and play well. Check them out and I think you will be happy with what you find. If you have any more questions, please, feel free to ask. Good luck!!

the best fender 1x12 valve combo ever made

i would like to find a really great fender combo, i use a starfield guitar with a seymor duncan "allan holdsworth" pick up and a tech 21 trademark 60 amp. its a great amp but i want a fender valve amp, any suggestions ? thanks

Re: the best fender 1x12 valve combo ever made

The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe is a great amp. I've been using one for about 3 years now and have yet to have even one problem with it. It has great tone and good looks. It is pretty affordable too. The overdrive is great. Very warm and full, though a bit harsh with the drive turned all the way up. It doesn't give you the real edgy metal tones that are popular today, if that is what you are looking for, just smooth overdrive. I play American Standard Strats through it and it just sounds awesome. I hope this helps some. Good luck and have fun!!!

Re: the best fender 1x12 valve combo ever made

thanks phil, i just might check one out

I don't know if this is the EXACT clone but a GT-2 can be built from scratch from the tonepad.com site. Happy Modding-let me know if you discover something cool.

Splitter and router units

I was doing some research on www.guitargeek.com and found that guitarists use the signal splitters in their setup. I would like to some information on what signal splitters are and why one would use them? Also I saw that guitarists often use them to hook up effects pedal instead of hooking up effects pedals in series, why is this? I would appreciate all the information anyone could give me.

Thanks,
Brian

Deciding on Guitar Fat Strat sguire or fat strat standard

Im looking to buy a new guitar... I will be playing rock/worship... I think I will get a fender but I am deciding on get ether a standard fat strat with one humbucking and two single coil pickups...or a new version called squir fat strat which olny has humbucking and a single coil. the latter guitar is way cheaper. but??? What do you think?

Re: Deciding on Guitar Fat Strat sguire or fat strat standard

I own a Squire Showmaster, which is a strat with a upside down headstock and no pick guard. It's a georgous guitar at an affordable price. I had a Fender Strat Satin, which looked awesome but i believe you can only make a guitar so good, The person playing is the biggest part how a guitar sound. A good player can make a cheap wal-mart guitar sound good. You can customize any guitar for what you think sounds good. I think you should just go with the cheaper, it can be just as good as a Fender Strat.

Epiphone Guitar - estimated worth

I have my grandfathers guitar which is in mint condition. It is an Epiphone, Broadway series, made in New York, with a serial number of 56468. Ephiphone stated that it was built in 1962 but they could not give me a value of the guitar. The label is located inside the guitar. Does anyone know the approximate worth of this?

Re: Epiphone Guitar - estimated worth

When my dad died he left us his guitar. It is a Epiphone Guitar. Model number FT-140, serial number 07780372. I would like to know how much this guitar is worth. Thank you.

Advice on a Jazz Guitar Amp

Having recently found the need for an amp more portable and suited to jazz than my marshall half stack, I started a search that has thus far found only the Fender Deluxe 1X12 and the Fender Devilles (2X12 and 4X10) as reasonable options (in terms of both price and sound). I'm looking for a standard jazz sound (a la Wes Montgomery if you'd like an example) and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of combo amps that wouldn't cost much more than $700 that would produce such a tone. If it matters, my jazz guitar is a Guild Starfire III. Thank you all for your help

Re: Advice on a Jazz Guitar Amp

Siverface Twin Reverb is the way to go.

Have you looked at the AER from Germany? It is a pure acoustic amp with a great sound and excellent features. They have a web page.

I've never seen an active system do that yet.
Any active system has a battery. I would check that first. It sounds like no power. By the way I use radio
shack gold akalines nothing better. Also old batteries leak so put in a new one anyway.
Email me if you

tech 21 trademark 60 combo

what are your opinions on this amp ?

Re: tech 21 trademark 60 combo

I love mine!It won't do Marshall crunch, but it has a Zappa-like distortion(Moving to Montana). For Jazz, Fusion,R&B,Rock it can pretty much cover all bases. They can be a little boomy,so watch the bass response. Tech21's have lotsa power, tone and the reverb ain't bad.Perfect gigging amp,it won't give you a hernia!
Good Luck
