This guitar is for somewhat of a beginner and after A few things I have heard, I am now afraid its going to be a nightmare to tune. This thing isnt going to have to be tuned everytime its played is it? I am pretty sure it has the locking nut on it. Can this particular Tremelo be modded or upgraded fairly easily? I heard the licensed one is The cheaper version and can be very problematic. Other than that this is supposed to be a great guitar for metal. Plus it was only $270 new.

:The guitar is a good guitar, but the floyd needs to be replaced with an actaul Floyd rose, by a profesional. There are a few good ways to get rid of the tuning problems. First, make sure your bridge locking inserts, are clamped as tight as possible, and make sure thefine tuner screws are set about halfway, when you are tuning from the actual tuning pegs (without the nut locked). When in tune, lock the nut, and make sure it is locked as tight as possible. Then fine tune. The main problem with the lic. Floyd’s are , that the parts are NOT tempered, or heated. The original Floyd’s are. To get good insight on trems and instalations, go to WWW. EDROMANGUITARS.com. You will be on there for days, but check his business, you wont be disapointed, and he wont rip you off. Good luck.

:The best pickups for you guitar are Seymore Duncan Duckbuckers. They already fit into single coil slots, and have NO hum. They are loud, clear, and punchy. They do not squeal, or sound nasal. The tone is absolutely PURE. The only other way is to get EMG David Gilmore setup. Yes, it is the same set-up he uses, but it already comes in a pearloid pickguard. I hope this was helpful. Good luck!

I’m looking for info on guitar branding.is it ethical for the corporate business to buy up manufacturers with a reputation for, say hand made guitars and use the ready made brand identity to promote new products that are not hand-made. example: gibson has moved away from traditional methods to high tec methods making the old gibson brands. I’m writing a dissertation for my degree on product branding with an interest toward the guitar manufacturers. Rob

I would have to agree with Donny about the Squire amp. I have one that I gig with and we play a lot of Metallica. I’m not sure but I think Kirk Hammet used one on most of Master of Puppets.

If you want a Metallica-like sound, just buy a POD, it gives you a Mesa Boogie sound and a Marshall sound and many more in just one box! It kicks ass……and it costs only $250 and you could hook it up into your computer.

yeah man mesa’s are wicked amps, but they cost a shitload. if u short on cash get a laney, they sounds a lot more searing thatn marshals. I dont like marshals, they not realy all that alive.

Well there are several things to consider first. Like how much are you willing to spend, and how big of an amp do you want, need? But in general I would suggest a few things. First of all everyone right away is gonna say get a Marshall amp and they are great but you will need a good deal of $. I would suggest a Crate or a Line6. Crate offers some great amps like combo2x12 amps that I have played on that can give just about any sound. If you got the $ Line6 combo amps can give you exactly the sound you are looking for.

Crate are good amps but they still cost some $ too. I have heard many success stories of people getting a metallica sound from a squire 10W amp with the dist on 8 and the tone on 3

I have a bassman 350 4 ohm head (2 speaker ports), hooked up to a 4×10 8ohm 300W continuious wired parallel, Im thinking about getting a SWR Goliath 8ohm cab that is Series wired. Im pretty sure the watts and ohms will be ok, but, is it ok to hook up the series wired with a parallel rig? If so should I go from the head to the bassman cab, to the SWR, or use both ports on the head and go to each cab direct? Jeremy R

I have an Ibanez that resembles a S540 series, but i don’t know the exact model. It has a flame maple, aqua to black finish, H-S-H pickups (USAIBZF1,USAIBZC3,USAIBZF2), gold hardware, Abalone oval inlays, floyd rose, really low action, 22 frets, custom-made on the 21st fret. Can anyone help me with the model? I can’t find one that matches exactly. Does anyone know what a possible list price for this might be?

Screw "Battle of the Bands"! Music is to be enjoyed, not judged!! If you really want to "battle" then go ahead.( it might be fun). If I where you I would plan on recording a REAL good demo, then I would submit this demo along with a bio to http://www.mp3.com You can also find some computer radio stations ( in Europe of course) that may play the demo. After all metal never died over there. They appreciate music on a different level than most "trendy" Americans do. Don’t get me wrong I’am an American, I just don’t limit myself to listening only to whats pop at the moment.

So what have you got ? Is it any good ? I’ve got a Takamine F370SS ( all solid dreadnought..no cutaway or electrics ) and I like it . As most of us do, I’m constantly on the lookout for decent gear and I’d think about selling this Tak , simply for a change and to experience the buzz of looking for a new guitar again. I’ve gotta say I prefer all solids. There are some obscure names out there , such as Lakewood. Everyone constantly talks about Martins and Taylors. What do you think is a good buy for uder £700 / $1000 ?

I suggest you go out on the net and price similar Gretchs and find collectors magazines and check prices. I have a 1972 wine colored Chet Atkins Nashville that is in mint condition that i would not sell for less than 1500 bucks. Actually, i wouldn’t sell it if offered 1500, it’s value has more to do with other things than it’s market value. The value of it depends as much on what it takes for you to let it go and what a seller is willing to give for it as anything else.

: I need help to find a good ´pedal to play like Green Day, Ramones, Blink 182, NOFX, Bad religion…. : please help me Try one of those orange stomp boxes (Boss DS-1). That’s what I always used for punk. If you crank up the gain on your amp and stomp on the stomp box you get this outrageous distortion with lots of sustain. And it sounds pretty close to the original punk sound from back in the seventies. It’s pretty noisy though–that’s the only drawback.

Hi, I’d like to know if anyone has modified his jaguar cause my pickus are microphonic, and they were also not too stong, I mean, they had not too much volume, so I don’t want to buy another jaguar pickups, and buy two single coil pickups that fit in the jaguar, and that they make it sound a bit louder. I thought about lace sensors or seymour duncan vintage stagered. Help will be appreciate because i have not too much idea about pickups. thanx

Hey all, I would like to buy a guitar and learn to play. I don’t know where to start. I have up to 2,000 to spend for the right setup. Is it best to start with an acoustic, an electric, or an electric-acoustic?Any help would be appreciated.

start off with something cheap- you don’t need so much sound quality when you start and if you give up guitar after a while you’ll have wasted your money. if you want to strum chords, get acoustic, if you want to pick or play ,blues, metal, rock etc get an electric. Personally i wouldn’t get an electro-acoustic, are expensive and sound quality is not good. Check out those package deals you can find sometimes, i had one of them with an amp, guitar, leads, plectrum etc, and they are great to start with. Check out basic ranges such as Hohner Rockwood, Aria MAC, Epiphone Gibson, Fender Squire and Strat series, Burns, Tanglewood, for electric and anything under about £150 for acoustic. If you have a friend who knows about guitars, get them to go with you as they can advise. Buying second hand can save you money but you may be ripped off or be sold something smashed up.

:The best advice i can give you, is: 1.Make sure (if buying an electric) it is NOT made out of plywood (hardwood, solid wood, are the usual discriptions for it in catologs).Make sure it is made of maple, mohogany, agathis, ash, basswood. 2. For a beginer, make sure the guitar does NOT have a tremelo. When lerning to play, the last thing you need to worry aboutis trying to keep a floating tremelo in tune. A tune-o-matic bridge is best and easy to find. 3. When you find a guitar, take it into the music store with you to find an amp. This will clearly be your tastes. I find a good solid state amp, with a 12′ speaker is great for beginers. A tube amp is an investment you want to make if you realy grow a desire to play for a long time, but they are very expensive. 4. Use the thickest chords, and Patch chords you can find. The cheap skinny chords they try to get rid of in music stores, short out too easily, and are not worth the head ache. 5. Lastly, keep an open mind when hearing other music. Dont get locked into just blues or metal or country. Try to also listen to music that doesnt have guitars in them. Good luck at the music stores, and with your budget, you can afford to be picky.

Regarding the amp ( or amps ) that Chet Atkins used during his career. Does anyone know the amps Chet used when he plugged his Gretches and later his Gibson Country Gentleman ? For lack of better description his tone was unique and had what I would characterize as an almost "organ" type of " grainy " tone to it.

hi everyone, after months of good thought i have finally decided to pick up guitar, and i have decided that i would like to play an acoutic guitar. as of right now, however, thats about all i have decided. I need to find the right guitar for me. I play the piano as of now, and i am a pretty accomplished pianist. I know music very well, so picking up the guitar would be easier for me than for someone who knows nothing about music. (correct me if i am wrong) I want a good acoustic guitar because I know that I will stick with it. my price range goes up to about $500 dollars. i cant afford anything more than that. I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions on a brand of acoustic guitar or even a specific model that plays well and fits in this price range. right now i love the Dave Matthews Band, and I also like David Gray, Eric Clapton, and many other artists and bands along those likes. so i would like a guitar that has a similar sound and tone as the guitars that are played by the artists above. also i was wondering if someone could answer the question as what are the different guitar sizes (dreadnought, jumbo, grand auditorium or whatever, and all of the others) and what do they mean has far as sound, playabilty, etc. what is the most popular size? and what is the best size in your opinion? i know this is a lot of questions, and i would greatly greatly appreciate of any of you guys could answer them thank you very much, Tim

Hi Tim. I’d suggest the Taylor Big Baby. It is superbly made, easy to play and sounds very good. As a first guitar, it would be an excellent choice. Check out Harmony Central’s guitar database and read what owners of this guitar think.

Thank you very much Mick! I will definitly give that guitar a good look. I just have a couple more questions if yo dont mind. I have heard that Taylor makes an excellent guitar that many professionals use, so i ruled Taylor as probably way too pricey more my budget. apparently i was wrong, i saw some Big Babies for under $400. My question is, are there any other guitars made by taylor that are under $500? also, i am a fairly big person,at least hieghtwise. i am 6’3" or 6’4", and weight about 190 lbs. or so. what is the size of the Big Baby, and is it big enough for my body? Judging from the name "Baby" I was wondering if this meant that it is a smaller guitar? I’m just curious. anyways, thank you Mick and best regards, Tim

The next guitar up in the Taylor range is the all solid 310. If you look on ebay, you MAY get one for $500. They cost more like 1000 ( I think ). I’m in the UK and they’re 800 pounds here. The Big Baby is 15/16’s the size of an adult sized guitar. It doesn’t make a noticeable difference Tim. Try one . You won’t be disappointed. Good luck.

Ive tested out the behringer V-amp 2, and the Pod Xt pretty much side by side and im all for the V-amp. The pod as some very very nice clean tones, but as soon as i hit the distortion on it, it was much much too fuzzy and fake for me. Although, with both products you can customize it so much that it becomes exactly what you were looking for. When you break it all down, theyre the same. So go with the one thats easier on the wallet, its what i did, and i havent regretted it since. (this review is based on the v-amp 2, which has equal amount of amp featuers as its pod equivalent)

Hi, im looking for a new amp for hard rock and metal playing. I prefer a head and cab. I play in a band and my other guitarist has a marshall tsl100 head and cab. i was looking at the marshall 1959 SLP, fender twin, Fender HOt Rod deville (i know, i like the clean sounds though), line 6 Flextone II, or a mesa boogie (either a rectifier or heartbreaker-used of course), also i was looking at the Fender Prosonic which i hear is great. IF any one has any info or advice, or any new amps, it would be greatly appreciated. THanx Chris

my brother just got a new strat(mexican) and it turns out that he liked my neck and i liked his so we switched. When i put the new neck on my guitar it buzzed like crazy so i raised the saddles. That work pretty good but the buzz was still there. so i turned the truss rod more concave and the buzz is gone, but it plays out of tune very noticeably i was wondering if there is anything i can do to get it to play in tune and not buzz.

The Neck on a guitar should really only be changed on a brand new guitar that has never been strung, in my experiance. As the neck adjusts to the stringtension and is handled it becomes mated to the rest of the guitar. If you are having an action problem, the smartest thing to do would probably be best to just switch the necks back. Just my opinion, take it for whatever, if anything, it might be worth.

Who is the best at modifying an old fender to give it more versitility. I would love my Super reverb to have a hint of that tight Matchless amp distortion. ( NO master volume) If any one has experience (positive) on Fender Mods, Please e-mail me at krmoss@hotmail. I would be very grateful!

I have a black face super reverb. It was put out by CBS. I think it’s a 1st or 2nd year CBS. The Scheme is the same as the pre CBS. I am considering purchasing a custom shop Combo. Does anyone know which is the best for a good deal of stage volume with that beautiful fender pwr. amp distortion. I want to be able to turn my tele volume down for a beautiful clean sound, then for screaming distortion, turn the guitar up. (NO pedals or weenie master volume knobs) The fewer knobs the better! I would be interested in a Mod if I could achieve this goal but I think I need more power. A Super is only 50 watts. I would also trade my amp for an early twin or custom shop combo. My amp was bought from the Mastering Lab at A and M studios in Hollywood. Alan Yoshida can verify that. I just really need more wattage with basically the same tone.

You are looking at the wrong brand, i looked for an amp for years that had a great violin like sustain on the dirty channel and a warm clean sound that was real extreme in it;s frequency range. I had a 1963 fender bassman tiltback, that was ok. i waled innto a used guitar store and started playing through a CRATe tube amp that has a cream colored tolex. I traded the Fender straight up for it. Crate tube amps are GREAT, I think mine is called a VINTAGE TUBE. i cang et sounds ranging from the old KUSTOM sound to a Marshall stack. I is a TUBE amp, not a hybrid or solid state

Kurt, I have a 65 super reverb re-issue, and I really like it alot. I used to have a twin reverb, but it was just too harsh for me. Pretty much, all blackface-era amps have similar circuitry, just different speaker and power arrangements. A twin has a similar tone to the super, but I prefer the super. Right now i am a/b ‘ing into my super and also a jcm2000, but I hope to get some type of eric johnson setup going (he uses two deluxes, and two marshall 50 watt dual super leads). You should check out a vibro-king from fender custom shop and see what you think. good luck andrew

Hi, does anyone know what I have? It’s a Hofner Bass with three extra controls (bass boost,3 position switch, on/off button)and a metal cover (possibly for 9v) on the bass side of the back. I don’t see serial #s but it has a label on back of headstock saying Muskhaus B. Hummel "High fidelity" (address, phone#) Thank you Jon

I just got one a few days ago… It doesn’t have typical fender cleans at all. It DOES have massive amounts of gain and distortion tones to die for. The cleans are full and rich, not squeaky clean. If you’re looking for classic Fender cleans, you won’t get it from a Prosonic. It’s still good though, very smooth and involving. Sorta like a cross between a Bassman and a Vox, dark and buttery. You can dial in lots of sparkle, but then the gain will sound really harsh and trebly. They share EQ so you have to compromise. The drive channel can do anything from mild crunch up to (and beyond) the highest of high gain. Seething gobs of gain, it’s almost crazy. It’s not very tight in the low end, but it has a nice blooming attack and is really easy to play and sustains for days. They’re discontinued but can be found for $600 or less if you look around.

I’ve owned a Boss GT3 for about six months now and after shite loads of playing about I’ve managed to set my 2 main stage worthy distortions with a reasonable amount of success. But like everyone I’m sure it could sound that little bit better if i just knew HOW!At present Im using the Pre-Amp sims to get the gain because the dist/OD sounds are Way to "DI" and lifeless.I use the Peavy 5150 setting with the mic position at 2cms with the following amp sim settings:- Vol-20,Bass-50,Mid-14,Treble-58,prescence-43,master-65 & Gain-HIGH. Then I use the EQ next door and set up a Varying scoop of the mids. At first I tried it with the noise suppressor set very active (threshHold-55,Release-3) but i found this to fight off most of the depth of the sound making it more ‘mechanised’.The sounds i am after are those found in music from the likes of Heavy ‘Harcore’ bands such as Silent green and Stampin’Ground.I Play an Epiphone LesPaul Standand with a Semour Duncan ‘Duncan Custom’ upgrade in the bridge position. My amp is a Marshal JCM2000 DSL 100 with a jcm 900 4×12 cab.Im plugging the gt3 straight into the return socket at the back, therefore bypassing the marshal pre-amp….CAN ANYONE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME BY GIVING ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW TO SET THE EQ UP,OR OF ANY NEW OR ALTERNATIVE WAYS YOU KNOW OF TO GET THE HEAVIEST SOUND!!!:) So go on…enthraul me with your know-how!!! xxxmany thanx Kelv. Portsmouth.

This probably isn’t what you want to hear, but…. You have a world class twin-channel rock & roll valve amp there, and a guitar fitted with an excellent hot pickup. If I were you I would ditch the GT3 and experiment with just the guitar and the Marshall. I am sure the sounds you are after are in there. And you’ve got two channels for your rhythm/lead sounds. Once you have got your basic guitar/amp tone you can always add a stomp box or two for delay or chorus or whatever. But make the effects the icing on the guitar/amp cake. I have recently reverted to just using my Gibson and Marshall after a few years of plugging a multi effects unit in between. I’d forgotten how good simplicity sounds! It’s a liberating experience, and there’s less to trip over when you’re gigging! Best Wishes.

Musician freind usualy has them for 99 bucks I think. I just finished a CD that i used my AX1G on a few tunes,. handy tool, and it sounds good in headphones too

Hey Ron, I know you posted this like 3 years ago, but I am bored so I’ll reply. The prosonic is a great amp. It does give you those sparkeling fender cleans and the distortion is like no other fender amp I’ve heard. I have only heard the combo version though. And the head and cabinate are probably much different. There are somethings to consider before buying the amp: There is only on eq for the clean and distortion channels. The foot switch that comes with the amp sucks. The buttons are too close together (about 1" apart) and there are no indicator lights to remind you where you are. Otherwise it is a great amp that will rip your face off. I almost find that there is too much distortion, but that is my opinion only. I hope you or someone else find this info. Useful.

If you don’t know too much about 12 strings you should try to find someone who does. If that is not possible buy a Yamaha, they are usually good value for money. I have seen some Epiphone 12s which were quite good also. Most of the big name brands produce reasonable models. Good luck! : : I want to buy a 12 string acoustic guitar. Can anybody help? Seagull (same people who make Godin guitars) make a couple of 12 string models which are as good as you can get for the money. Don’t know the conversion rate but here in Aus I can pick one up for $800 (and our $ is worth about the same as Kleenex) with electrics and les without. Excellent action, small neck, solid cedar top and much easier to play that anything in the price range.

I had purchased a jackson pro model guitar several years ago (6 or so)and I have no Idea what exact model it is. It was my first new guitar purchase as a teenager and I payed a ton of money for it(>$700) ….considering what I believe it was actually worth I may have been ripped off by Fordelley’s in Champion OH. Anyway I want to sell it and don’t know the model and have no literature on it. The serial # is 601458 and it is a 24 fret, purplish pink translucent (rad) finish, rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, normal neck(not reverse), floyd rose patented locking trem, humbucker(neck)…single coil…Humbucker(bridge) etc etc.. If anyone thinks they can enlighten me feel free. From my understanding the "Professional" model is used to describe several different actual models. Thank you Bassfisherman 88

Hi there, I’m thinking about getting my boyfriend an electric guitar for Christmas, but I don’t know anything about guitars… I checked musicians friend and saw that they had some under 200$ (which sounds great for me considering my tiny salary), but I’m worried he’s going to think it’s a crappy guitar. What’s the lowest I should spend? He plays guitar, but not professionally and not all the time.. just for fun. Any advice on what I should get him? Currently he has an acoustic guitar.

Unfortunately, some of the best guitars out there cost 200 bucks and some of the crappiest cost thousands just because they have a certain name sticker on them. The best way to buh a guitar is to have the one who is going to play it play it. No you don’t get what you pay for. Often what youa re paying for is a name or expensive advertising rathr than quality workmanship. We make guitars in THE U S no better than we make cars.

economy electrics are often good little guitars. my Encore KC3 is a perfectly good instrument. it sounds good and is comfy to play. of course it’s not as good as my Gibson SG Standard, but for £90ish rather than £760, i would be disappointed if it was the same quality. the quality of a cheap electric is going to be better than a cheap acoustic. the fender squiers are supposed to be very good. xxxxxxxx Molklone

Squires aren’t made in Mexico, they’re made in Korea or Taiwan can’t remember which. They’re absolute crap so steer clear of them. You’re better off buying a used Made in USA Fender. Made in Mexico is good too. I’ve got a MIM Tele and it’s superior to my MIA Tele so figure that. If you want to go Yamaha or Ibanez make sure you’re buying a made in Japan model. The Koreans make excellent instruments but the Japanese are better at it. Squire Strats are like Epiphone Les Pauls the only similarity is the name and the shape and that’s where the similarity ends. Generally they’re crap. Off course I’m speaking in general terms and there are always exceptions.

I am seriously thinking about buying a Les Paul. How do you pick which one? What do you need to know and think about before selecting? The issues I am thinking of have to do with neck size (classic has a 59 slim taper, others are bigger) and pickups (the variations between the different models). Is the slim taper neck too weak? What about the ceramic pickups? What issues have come up with owners?

If you are getting a Les Paul, I suggest trying to find a HONDO Les Paul that was made in Japan in the 70s or early 80s, they are quite popular, which makes them hard to find, but thew were the best playing Les Pauls

I’ve owned several LP’s (custom, std, studio) and wish I could get a few more. If it’s raw Paul power sound you’re after I’d check out the "no frills" Studio models … mine gives all the bang for much less buck. Also, check out the higher end Epiphone LP’s (close your eye’s and you can’t tell the diff). As far as pick-ups, the 490/498 humbuckers scream. Hell, they’re all good.

The questions you raise are a matter of personal preference. Best thing to do is go to a shop and try them all, there are big differences between individual guitars of the same model. Choose the one you like best. Check out some of the cheaper copies at the same time, you might get a surprise. : I am seriously thinking about buying a Les Paul. How do you pick which one? I’m not too familiar with the current models. I did many, many years ago buy a new Custom nick-named the "fretless wonder" because if its very low profile frets. It was fine for jazz, but I had to have the frets replaced with jumbos to play rock and blues. I don’t know if this is still a consideration, though. : I am seriously thinking about buying a Les Paul. How do you pick which one? What do you need to know and think about before selecting? I was wondering if someone could help me. My son was given an old electric guitar. It has no manufacturers marking on it. It is a hollow body (2 F holes), two pickups, 2 black switches on the pick guard, 1 tone and 1 volume knob, sunburst, and a massive whammy bar on a spring. I am new to the guitar world so any help on what type it may be would be great! The only number on it is a small label on the back of the neck where the neck and body meet. The number is "EA 301 T". Im guessing it is an old mail order type, but who knows! Please email me with any information. [email protected]

I only know of two manufacturers of electric guitars who have EA models. They are Epiphone and Washburn. If it isn’t either of them, I think you’ll probably find that it is a ( virtually ) unheard of company and might be extremely difficult or ( if they are no longer operating ) impossible to track down. Good luck with the search anyway. It’s an interesting one.

Hi Chad, I am currently doing the same thing to a Second hand strat I bought. The wiring is straight forward (for me anyway as I am an electronics tech). Basically the three pickups earth/shield wires terminate on the volume control body which is also the ground for the tone controls and output connector. The 5 way switch selects the pickups and they connect to the 3 terminals at one end of the switch. The single terminal in the middle of the switch feeds one end of the volume control. It might be easier to send you a photo.

Don’t let the dryer sit to long in one spot. Just keep working it, and eventually it will loosen enough for you to get a very thin putty knife under it! Do not force the knife. You might want to perform this operation, while you are heating the pick guard, because, as soon as you release the heat, it may become more difficult to remove the pickgaurd. Whatever you do, don’t force it! Use patience, and your efforts will be rewarded! Hope i helped you?…Jerry

It could be that either the saddle or the nut (depending on where it is breaking) is a little rough or has a burr, you can take real fine wet or dry sandpaperto it, or 0000 steel wool, but i suggest having a luthier do it for you. I uase D’Addario half sizes strings (.095 up) and seldom break strings

Assuming you’re not thrashing the hell out of it, or bending the strings around the backside of the neck regularly, I’d say you might want to check the tail piece first. Tune-O-Matic tali pieces can often have very sharp edges around the holes, and particularly if the tail piece is mounted a lot lower than the bridge, the strings get cut there. I have had to file the holes to get a bevelled edge, and sometimes raise the tail piece to reduce the stress angle and avoid (or minimize) contact with the strings (usually more of a problem on the treble side, but I’ve seen a lot of bass side E and A strings break too due to this. Also check the saddles themselves for sharp or poorly filed grooves. Check out guitar tips on my web site at: http://members.home.net/wilkatguitars/ Good Luck, Bill

The installer said it’s all in carving the nut out enough to let the strings move freely." What do you think about this comment? and what about the combination of changing to Shaller locking tuners, a shaller rolling nut,and a tune-o-matic or shaller bridge with the bigsby? would i run into any problems. ( i like putting on .10-.46 sized strings. i don’t know if this would be a factor, would it?) do you think it would still go out of tune??? if so what would be the best combination or other option??? thank you very much for your time, eric PS is there a shaller rolling bridge made for telecasters? and also would you happen to know anyone who could do this in LA, cali.? thanks again.

Can’t remember the chords this time of morning but if you can get it on some recent Australian compilation releases- Beer Drinking songs – and the like. Billt was also quite popular in USA where he lived (L.A.)for many years. Scour the back catalogues is the best advise I can give. Billy Thorpe and earlier material by Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs

Hello, My name is André Zweistra i’m 38 years of age and i’ve played bass, harmonica and sung in many bands, since the age of 14. Mostly with songs of my own. In recent years i’ve played and recorded mostly on my own. Unlike the bass, i’ve played the guitar mostly to accompany my singing and to write songs. Apart from some lessons, you can say i’m a selftaught man, both on bass as on guitar. I wonder if there are any among you about my age, who still make progress on guitar despite the fact that they, as me, don’t got too much musical aducation background. How is your experience with learning new styles, for instance?

Graag jouw reactie. Met vriendelijke groeten, H.Zweistra

: i recently came to own one and all i have been able to find out is that all of them are assembled in japan. the model was a 1990 to 1992 theme guitar. the hmt means heavy metal telecaster. mine is also a fender usa but the back plate on the inside says assembled in japan. they retail for about $400 much to my dismay. i got mine for $150 and had to get some peices for the floyd rose system. mine plays like a dream but the real hope was to restore and sell it. i would still make double what i paid but i was hoping the rarity would make it more valuable. the original came with two humbuckers and in 1992 it came with a single coil fender lace sensor and a humbucker. mine has these so it is definetly a 1992. the two previous years are difficult to date. but at least it is a 50 50 chance of guessing the right one. well that is all i’ve got. i am still looking for more info like actual manufacturer city or a more appealing price rate.

I looked it over, looks good (no binding, but I think it looks better without it actuaully), plays nice, plugged into my Peavey Bandit, it sounds great. Overall I’m very happy with it, for $145, you can’t beat it.

Hi, I own a tweed colored fender blues deville amp with two twelve inch speakers that was made in 1995 or 1996… the very last year that fender made the blues deville before it was replaced by the hot rod deville. Anyway it picks up a strong radio signal, unfortunately from the top 40 station. It used to only happen my wah or fuzz pedal was turned on, but that was at my old residence. Now it happens all the time. I would really like to know why this happens and what I can do to stop it from happening. It is almost impossible to play because I am competing with the volume of the top 40 station. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks, Brian

: I’ve been playing guitar for 4 years (since I was ten). My parents had bought me a mexican fender strat. I want to get a better guitar but don’t want to spend thousands on, say a les paul. Would it be worth upgrading to an American Strat or what other options would i have? The choices today are endless, and there is a lot of good stuff to choose from (I know, I build custom electric guitars and basses). If your style is limited to rock, the Strats have always been a great choice, as well as Les Pauls. PRS are great too. I favour Strats over Les Pauls, but this is a personal thing and you usually know when you try the axe out. That’s why I build custom guitars, because everybody seems to like certain features of one guitar or another, and they all have their own flavor and sound. My guitars combine a little of Strat, a little of Les Paul, and little of my own personal tastes. Oh, and if money’s a problem, check out Washburn and Ibanez too. And if you can go a bit higher, you might want to buy one of my axes ! Check out my web site at: http://members.home.net/wilkatguitars/ Happy Hunting, Bill

you must have rich parents dont waste yer hard earnt ringets on a strat. i personally think strats are the most over-rated guitars of all time. see what a paul reed smith santana SE sells for rond where you come from. there made in like a jap factory, but to prs specs, and with prs pickups. hot guitars for the money, they lik 1800 au$ (bout 800 us). would recomend one

Hey… I’ve been playing guitar for like 6 years (throughout my extended stay at Kent State) anyway Upgrading??? I don’t really think that you should look at it that way. I’m in your same boat and I bought, traded, and sold constantly trying to get a better guitar? But what means better???? That is all up to you!!!! I currently play a Roadhouse Strat..a 60’s Gibson ES 120T… A 79 les Paul, an unknown japanese Jackson & A Marshall Half stack.. Yeah I have wasted a lot of money on guitar stuff. I know. But among all these things I don’t think one is overated over another (except my Marshall Sucks) Take a look at what you.. like to play (stylewise, fretboard wise). Look at the guy from Nirvana Cobain who played rip off strats and he found a niche. The best thing you can do is find friends who like to play. Play their instruments or find a store who doesn’t mind if you put in some time on different instruments etc to get a feel for what you like. Overated however I can’t agree. The only thing that can be overated is the service a company offers if it breaks. cuz it really sucks when your lone axe is in the shop for 6 months or they don’t cover it under warranty and you shell at big bux. Otherwise it is up to the musician to make it sing. If one was clearly better than the other than than everyone from Hank to Hendrix would be playing (or would have played) the same thing! Anyway take it from someone who has played a ton of guitars(from the cheapest to the most expensive) Unless you want to spend all your duckets on gear look way further than just price as an upgrade criteria. Hi everyone! im considering making a guitar purchase on a great used guitar.. here’s the one flaw on the guitar tho.. as the seller put it, "someone has etched the name of a band on the face. It’s hardly noticeable, easily repairable." does anyone know what a repair on an "etching" on a guitar might be? ill assume that it was probably done w/ a razor, since "etching" seems to suggest such a scenario. does anyone here have any idea what it might cost to repair such damage to the finish of a guitar? a rough estimate perhaps? it seems that it was an "attempt" to etch on the guitar.. so that the person didnt get very far if its "not very noticeable".. so maybe it wouldnt be that expensive? just thought someone might be able to provide some insight on this query. if you could, please post here.. or preferrably email me at [email protected] or [email protected] thank you. regards, VIC

How deep is it? I would suggest sanding it down with a light grade sandpaper ( like 600) then try buffing it. If the guitar is really cool, get it anyways. You can always repaint it later on if what I said does not work. Oh, is it electric or acoustic?

Etching, hmmm. Was it really scratched into the top coat, or attempted using some form of acid? You see some really strnage things out there! Yeah, you can often remove some fool’s damage by sanding it out, just realize that the attempted repair may stand out from the rest of the surface, possibly requiring you to sand the rest to make it match. I often use 1500 grit for final wet sanding before polishing, although sometimes 600 is adequate. Check out my guitar tips on my web site at: http://members.home.net/wilkatguitars/ You’ll find tips on a number of things including scratch repair. If you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, check with a pro. Luthier’s are much better equipped for this than the average player/owner, and they can tell you the consequences of a do-it-yourself repair. I’m not kidding when I say it may stand out from the rest of the body (in fact it will likely appear smooth but dull compared to the balance of the finish). A lot depends on the final rubbing out and polishing which requires a high quality rubbing compound, a good polishing wheel (or a lot of elbow grease). Sometimes it’s best to just leave it alone, and just clean it up, and live with it (unless it’s a really valuable axe!). Good Luck!

The seller tells me that there is a light scratch on the surface.. he says he is the second owner of the guitar.. that he bought it in this condition.. and that its barely noticeable. it looks like someone tried to scratch a name into it with a blade of some sort. i havent seen the guitar yet. but i hope to by this weekend. thank you for the info so far 🙂 -VIC

ok i have an esp f-200, and im running a Peavy Butcher 100w tube head and a randal cab with 4 75 8 ohm celestions. now im also running to a metal zone as well because i wanna just get some insane heavy sound. now me and my drummer are playing in his garage, and im sure the half stack shoould be loud to play with or over the drums. im running to a metal zone as well, but the thing is i get so much god damn feedback in there, but when i plug staright through amp distortion i get barely any feedback and it is loud as hell! BUT! the distortion doesnt have any crunch or power, has no power behind it, sounds wimpy. i wanna know, is it good to use a distortion pedal with a guitar that has active pickups, or is it best to use amp distortion? and if its amp distortion how can i get the amp distortion to gimme more chunck? any recommendations on what i should get? maybe the metal zone isnt a good pedal with my guitar? or i dunno someone help. also can it be the way we are set up in the garage? i get way too much feedback in there, especially with this guitar. ok thnx…..

mate if youve got a gain level on your clean channel (the one you use with the pedal) turn that all the way down, crank up the level and then turn the gain up to boot. To get a more metal sound out of your amp, crank the mid all the way down, and plenty of bass and top end. Active pick ups kick arse with amp drive, coz they pump more signal in. Its probly not a pedal problem. It your amp is more than, say 12 months old you might need to replace the pre-amp tubes (12ax7’s), and maybe the power tubes (6L6gc’s). Sovtek are pretty cheap and hef a mad sounds. Hope this helps bro

Hi! I play a mex strat through dunlop wah, boss chorus and boss metal zone, and the hum and buzzing freak me out. Is there any way I could get rid of them without loosing any feedback (I play in a noise band and feedback is really important to me)? Would installing fender noiseless pickups do me any good, and do noise reduction units kill feedback? Thanks!

Replace the stock pickups. The originals will always buzz and hum. Try some Seymour Duncan Hot Rails. They will fit in your Strat and are really high output.

I have been playing since 1965, and by far the best stomp box i have ever had is my TONE WORKS AX1G, it has everything in it for what one effect used to cost in a stomper. I cannot rave about this thing enough, it is a little noisey but has a noise reduction that is adjustable, and I have recorded direct into a board with it. I’d suggest an overdrive TS-9/OD-3.A DD3 or PS-2 delay, you’ll need a good chorus CS-9 or Maxon. The other stuff is optional, but I think those three are basic for your style. Hope this helps

My boyfriend has an Ovation Celbrity twelve string acoustic…….yeah, it’s pretty damn fine guitar…anyway, his problem isn’t that I play his guitar too much, it’s that I just hold it and masturbate. I feel sooooooo good holding that guitar it’s really smooth and it slides up and down so slowly and gently………what can I do to give him back that guitar without buying my own?

is it the wood or the laminate which has cracked? Do you mean the top of the guitar, ie around the soundhole? If the crack makes the wood uneven, you can usually push the wood back into place, with patience. Then glue (ie with strong glue, woodglue?)a small thin bit of wood under the crack on the inside of the guitar, this will give the guitar more strength and it won’t go out of tune so easily. Hope this helps! you can often buy books on guitar repairs.

You’ve all gotta agree with me on this. Anyways, this is my first time on this site. But, my point, what the fuck happened to good guitar playing? All anyone wants to do now is tune down to C or play with seven strings. I’m sick of it! The only players that could use a Seven-string well were petrucci, Vai, and the exception of Meshuggah. But this nu-metal bullshit? I’m only 16, but I love to play shred, blues, progressive, fusion amongst other things. The only guys I jam with are twenty years older then me, because all the kids i know want to copy Korn ar "Staind." The fucking record companies need to stop being so close-minded about good guitarists instead of hiring a group of guys that play songs that sound alike to their others and a whiny singer. Since "Grunge," soloing has seemed to be obsolete to me. The grungers that did solo were pretty godd too. (Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains.) Now, people think you’re a show-off if you play the slightest thing close to a good blues solo or a rock solo. Also, people who solo are considered "self-indulgent" or "they don’t play with soul." Well, here’s a message to all you nu-metal wankers who play with detune guitars and stompboxes- FUCK YOU! What I’m trying to prove is that soloing is cool, and if you don’t like it, go eat a dick and learn how to play your guitar. Please respond to me, i’d love to hear some criticism or somebody who agrees with me.- Peace

I have been thinking similar thoughts about music for about 5-10 yrs now. I noticed the increased obsolescence of solo guitaring since Nirvana’s Nevermind album. Nowadays music is just a lost cause thanks in part to the pornography industry and also to all of the fake, pretentious artists such as Eminem(spelling?)and Will Smith who are just in this life to make a million dollars. These people and the well-fed white C.E.O.mother-fuckers of the world-dominating record companies really don’t give a shit about music, all they really care about are their profit margins. That is why we are seeing a degradation of television in addition to music. The only thing that matters to cocksuckers such as Britney Spears(spelling?)and Kid Rock is money!! It is a shame but that is the way our sociey is going for the time being anyway. Hopefully this is just a phase through a decade that will pass on like the 60’s and 70’s,etc.

I agree with you on everything all you replyers need to get one thing straight, you can’t necessarily blame grunge. Post-grunge, yes, but not early nineties grunge movement. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam all had some really great solos. In my opinion, Jerry Cantrell and Mike McReady were really the last two great modern guitarrists, everything else has been total shit. In fact i think the grunge movement, except for Nirvana, moved more towards the traditional lead guitar role than anything in the ’80’s. That’s when corporate music co’s started taking over, really the only great guitar bands/guitarrists of the 80’s were Satch, Vai and Malmsteen, and the thrash bands, esp. metallica, but they’re shit now too so screw them. But it doesn’t really matter at all b/c who gives a fuck about mainstream? Indie all the way.

EVERYTHING in mainstream music sucks. People no longer play music because they love it, they do it because they WANNA BE A RICH STAR. rock died about 1980, about the time the recording industry started getting ran by accountants and lawyers instead of by musicians. It is about money now, not music. P S I have a CD out for family and freinds, it is in the style of music from before rock died, let me know if you are interested in a copy…….

Hey guy’s, lets not mock the pitch that you tune to. After all, its just how high or low you tune the guitar. I am in a "Melodic Heavy Metal" band and we tune down to C# which is… lets say low. I also do consider myself to be a "Shred" type guitarist, but I hate the term "Shred". For those in the know, my favorite scales to phrase in are the "Harmonic Minor", and the Diminished Seventh, as well as the modes; which of course are all related. My views on solos are that they can be shred solos’, but they still must have attitude or feeling, better off with both!!

I agree with you lot. Most of the main stream ""music"" these days is total SHIT. it’s so easy to play, and has no melody. It all sounds the same, according to them if you can hold a guitar, you can play it.. It’s not the music that people like these days, its the image of the band that has written it. People laugh when i say i’m a huge Knopfler /Satch fan, but i love the melodies and their guitar playing is amazing. People think that music has to be "easy listening" but i prefer something that makes you think. i hate music which has a good guitar part in it but that is ‘hidden’ behind a lead singer sounding like a dying cat. You really wanna get all the basics down, picking, strumming chords, simple chord shapes, and if you can get a teacher, this would mean that you learnt faster, and you wouldn’t get into bad habits. otherwise get buddies to help you and get some books on basic stuff. Above all, play stuff you like and have a good time!

I hope someone can help with my amp identification. I have some photo’s of it here: http://www.banns.freeserve.co.uk/marshall/index.htm I have shown it to an expert in the field who claims it appears to be a 1967 model, but in a state of evolution from the 1966 models and is equivalent to the 1967 Super-Lead plexi’s, accept it has extra channels and a few brightness caps. Can anyone verify this, and give me a possibly price on how much it might be worth? It’s all in good working order. Thanks in advance!

hi. i found this guitar and i am wondering how much should i offer for it. A Tom Anderson from around 1986-1988, not in great condition – many marks throughout the body. just ONE humbucking by the bridge – in an angle. maple neck, old style headstock. grand am body. this is one of the first full guitars tom made when he opened his shop – it is not a parts guitar since it has the logo on the headstock. NO engraved neck plate though. But legitimacy has been confirmed by the shop personnel. Thanks for the help!

get yaself a 10 band graphic-eq, run that between then cab and the amp, and turn down the frequency which is feeding. This will change your sound a little, but it works quite well

I have owned three different Stratocasters. With each one I have had the same problem. When the Low E string is in tune, the string is sharp at the 12th fret even when the bridge piece is pulled all the way back. I had to take the bridge piece off and file it down so that I could get the string long enough to be in tune at the 12th fret and at the nut at the same time. Is this typical for Strats or is there something I am doing wrong?

Hmm.This sounds like a basic intonation problem.Try moving the saddles back with a screw driver. Then use a tuner to make sure the 12th E sounds like the open E.The position of the saddle will determine the length of the string. This will affect the tuning of your fretted notes in relation to your open notes. Hope this helps

This sounds a bit unusual to me. I’ve not run across this problem with strats. Did you check the intonation with a reliable electronic tuner? I assume you did, but the problem may be at the nut rather than the bridge. If you’re treble side E string meausures just a bit over 25 1/5" from the fingerboard side of the nut, to the bridge, you should not be having this problem with the bass side E string. Are you tuned in standard tuning? Drop D tuning can throw things off sometimes. Check out my guitar tips at: http://members.home.net/wilkatguitars/ Good Luck!

Assuming you are right-handed, fret F, first fret, first string, then with the right hand touch the first string at the thirteenth fret, first string with your first finger, then pluck the first string with you second finger, right hand and lift your first finger, right hand. You can do this with any note, you just have to keep twelve frets apart. Jim in Canada

nah mate that how you do a "natural" harmonic. this give the octave overtone. try picking the string as hard as you can, clipping the string with your thumb at the same time. you have to find a good spot for your picking hand to do this, it takes a fair whack of practice

I’ve always found it a bit easier to use my right-hand ring finger to touch the string whilst holding the pick between my thumb and first finger. I suppose that this will give you different harmonics than using your thumb, because of the position of your ring finger relative to your thumb.

Hey, i saw a guitar (probably an Epiphone E-02) at a guitar store and now i can’t find it anywhere. It is an acousitc-electric and it has a butterfly below the strings, a crecsent moon with a star on the headstock, and i think vines in the fretboard. I have been looking for this guitar for over a year and it is seeming to be impossible. If anyone knows where one is please e-mail me. Thanx

Bass Guitar is an excellent instrament. How long it will take you to "learn" is a question of how you wanna play. A few months and you can be jammin’ if you wanna be a kick ass punk guitarist. 95% of that style of playing is agressiveness. Then again, it may take a little longer to learn if you want to be a smooth, swinging, fre form jazz bassist. Of utmosyt importance, regaurdless, is to be perserverant. Don’t quit, or you will never reach your full potential. the first follow up was good advice on gear. Whatever you do, dont buy a guitar madew by rougue. . .lol

Go with WD-40. Spray some on a clean rag, then hold the rag between your fingers and the string, just pinch/slide across the whole string from the bridge to the nut. Looking at the rag when your done will reveal several black "skid" marks. Your strings are now clean and will last longer.

Go for strats, the Fender Stratocaster is a nice guitar, and it reletivly cheap for the quality, about $200-$300 American I think is resonable for one, there good for beginers, but remember about amplification, cables, etc.

yeah strats rock but before you buy, check out: Aria MAC Series or similiar- about £200 new. Great looking, nice playin, will last. Great if your’e a beginner- you won’t need to upgrade to soon… Tanglewood "basic" series- can’t remember name- but about £130 new, v good value. Fender Squire series- but i’ve heard horror stories, so beware! Fender Telecasters- nice, also Epiphone Gibson, about £160 used, loads of my buddies have these! Burns Guitars- discontinued (?) but cheaper than Fenders (about £230 used) and almost as good looking? You might want a small practise amp- about £35-£60 new.

One word…. "Intonation". Depending on your tremolo, this can be an easy fix or a "bitch fix". If you have a locking trem, like a Floyd…. Good luck. Strat type/vintage trems are a lot easier to adjust. You will also need a tuner as well as new strings. Let me know whatcha’ got.

The Twicthdoctor is correct. This is a common problem — especially on guitars that have not been set up right, or fooled with by folks who don’t know what they’re doing (which is all of us until we learned about proper intonation, etc.). I have some tips on my web site to help people out, but I’ll also soon add a more in depth article on the subject of intonation. Sometimes you can also run into a problem with the nut position relative to the bridge (or worse, to the frets), but this is rare. Most guitars, inlcuding low end ones, have fairly accurate fret location, etc. Check out my site at: http://members.home.net/wilkatguitars/ Good luck, Bill

If you’ve never heard Jimi Hendrix version you should listen to it just for inspiration. If you want that feel, use an effects pedal to distort the sound of the guitar or play with the amp to get a "dirtier" sound. Hope that helps a little. : so i’ve got this problem: i got this role in a play and it calls for playing electric guitar at one point. i have to play the star spangled banner. i know nothing about electric guitars. i have to tabs for an easy version of the song, have it down pretty well, but it just doesn’t sound very ‘rockin rollish’ which it needs to. can ANYONE please give me some advice that would be easy for my to learn? thanks

Hi there. just to say, i bought the ax100g today (28th december01) and it is absolutely incredible. the preset sounds are fantastic anyway, but all of them can be fiddled around with and changed etc. the expression pedal is great and you can get a good wah effect among others. my mate has the zoom but it is nowhere near as good as the korg. only problem with the korg is that it eats up batteries. (but you can get an ac adapter)

Hi. It’s David. Actually, I don’t like Zoom. Korg is much better. But not AX100G (for live usage). If you need good distorsion try Korg 104ds. If you need other effects too, try Korg AX1000G or AX1500G. These processors are a bit expensive but I’m sure you’ll be setisfied. All of this effects have very low noise when you switch on the distorsion. Good luck.

To start, you need (1) a tuner (2) a piano (3) another tuned guitar. If you’re just dinking around by yourself, perfect tune is not that important, but you need to get it fairly close – too low, the strings will rattle, too high, you risk damage to the guitar because of the tension. Your strings are lowest to highest: E, A, D, G, B, E. The bottom 4 (EADG) consist of a heavy and light pair, tuned an octave apart, the top 2 pairs (BE) are identical. I tune the bottom 4 HEAVY strings first, go back and tune their LIGHT mates, then finally the B’s and E’s on top. Once the bottom E is in tune or close, go from the bottom up tuning the next string to the next lower string on the 5th fret – EXCEPT – the B tunes to the G on the 4th fret. When you’re done, if done correctly, the bottom E and top E should be in tune, if not, you did something wrong! (When I say "bottom" string, I’m referring to tone, not it’s position on the guitar!) Hope this helps…

Tune it as you would a six string. The smaller/thinner strings should be tuned to an octave, or twelve notes higher than the thick/normal string. You do know how to tune a six, right?

The standard way is to tune the ‘hi e’ & ‘b’ strings in unison. they should both be tuned the same. the rest should bu tuned so the thinner string is one octave above the thicker string. : Tune it as you would a six string. I’ve heard that you should tune them down to D to reduce tension on the neck and bridge – then use a capo. The Ibanez AR 250, a LesPaul-type double cutaway guitar, usually comes without a guitar case, so that is why I’ll need one. My local Ibanez dealer told me, though, that it won’t fit into those inexpensive standard cases for LesPaul-type guitars. Is that true, and does anybody know the dimensions of the body?

A DM-4CV will range downward from $400 depending upon age & condition. 5 years old, in good condition, I would say about $275. Sigma is a division of CF Martin, the guitars are assembled overseas, with finishing and inspection done by Martin.

The big muff is a bad dude. You can blow up cheap amps with it. If your looking for the most unbridalled out of control distortion the BM is for you. Ipersonally found it to be just to much. compression might help.

dear samir, the ‘big muff’ is a real fuzz pedal. it has a very tense, thick, but also muddy and searing tone. it’s similar to the sound of the main themes of "satisfaction" or "spirit in the sky". i have a demo on my homepage at http://www.designwerk.de/franjo/pages/home.ram with the sologuitar through my big muff. another great record with a big muff on is danny toan – big foot. he uses a big muff all the time. in the most cases, it’s not recommendable for rhythm work, but if You’re into mudhoney, it’ll be great! franjo

Dear Tommy, I have reviewed your site and unfortunate circumstances with focal dystonia..It appears that you most likely have action induced dystonia- dystonia caused by repetitious finger movement. I am a nurse at Columbia with dystonia and have just established a new patient advocacy group called Care4Dystonia in NYC. I myself have dystonia but I still work in critical care despite abnormal movements..Currently I get treated with the new toxin.. Botox has been beneficial in musician induced dystonia. We have one specific MD who primarily deals with musicians with focal dystonia. He is a musician as well- the Julliard Scholl in NYC.. I am interested in helping you get the right treatment. Please email me via our new http://www.care4dystonia website.. I would love to hear from you. Dystonia is at times difficult to live.. especially on a daily basis.. best wishes, beka c4d [email protected]

I have one, but don’t use it much – just takin’ care of it. Don’t forget to match it up with a cab that contains celestion greenback speakers in it if you want to hear the complete setup. How much are you looking to give for this one? Since they don’t make them any more, they all must be somewhat used….I’m not even sure what they’re worth these days.

Hi. I’m modifying my old, but extremely good Ibanez guitar. I want the sound of a Strat, and the playability of my Ibanez. I bought 3 vintage low noise single coils as replacement for my old pickups, whish were 2 single and 1 Humbucker. Of cause I needed a new pickguard as well, but an original Strat pickguard would not fit my Ibanez, so I bought a rectangular pickguard, and now I’m about to cut the shape and the holes for the pickups. The shape is not the problem, but placing the pickups exactly on the right spot I find very difficult. Does anybody know where I can find measurements or a 1:1 blueprint of an original Fender Stratocaster pickguard. Best Regards Sjøgge.
