Can anyone tell me something about my amp. It is a Marshall 1965A Lead, with 4 10" Celestion speakers, serial number 9262. It has a Mosfet Lead 100 head, serial number T20266.

I can’t find it on the Marshall site. The A on the model number might mean it was built in 1969.

Can anybody give me more information on it. Thanks a lot.

They were made between 88 and 93 great cabs. The 1965 is the cabinet model. A is slanted B is straight. They came in black and green tolex. And a number of different tweed frons. Grilll, black, brown, yellow. All aside i am looking for one, do you want to sell it? Drew [email protected]

The 1965A and 1965B cabs were initially designed to match up with the Marshall Artist 3203 Head (30 Watts). The ‘A’ indicates that the cab is Angled. All references I’ve seen relating to the 3203 Head and the 4×10 1965 cabinets have been very positive; great setup. : Can anyone tell me something about my amp. Not familiar with a 1965a head. There was a 1965a 4×10 cab (I have one) which sounds great, low weight and generally a bit cleaner than a 4×12. On the low end, it has a bit less bottom but what it does have is a bit tighter.
