I don't understand why this would have any importance, if you have an acoustic guitar, get a pitch pipe and tune it, then play an E chord, and that's what it sounds like. If you have an electric, get a korg or something similar and likewise tune it and play an E chord, there you go, that's what it sounds like. If you're wondering what some E things would sound like, your open 6th string is an E, your open 1st string is E, 12th fret on both are E, 022100 is E, 079900 is E, etc, etc.
: tve taken up the guitar and ive been at it for almost 2 months now and im pretty good not great but ok. so all i need is to find someone to tell or show me what the "e" cord should sound like. a sound file or something. ive been trying to teach myself and books really dont give you sounds (saddly)so can anyone please help? thanx
