Sure! The most popular type of Amp for what you need is most probably a "pignose". They've been making them since the sixties and some musicians have loved the sound so much they used them in the studio.Just about every major manufacturer makes battery powered amps. As far as recharging the batteries, just use rechargeable batteries.
