Can anyone recommend a solid acoustic-electric bass?

: I was on Musician's Friend and saw models from Dean, Rogue, Takamine, and Ibanez. I know Takamine and Ibanez would offer solid quality and I don't mind spending a bit more. But would I get comparable quality from a Dean or a Rogue? (I was especially the looking at the Dean Performance model). Any other names I should consider?
