Barney Kessel was one of the Pioneers of Modern Jazz. In the 50s he had some Top Selling Jazz Guitar Albums. Barney Kessel was winner of many Jazz Polls in the 50s. He was a studio Guitarist and Played on many hit Pop Recordings in the 50s.
I have a Barney Kessel Web Page that Gets an incredible amount of hits. The Great Guitar Player is Still well known and Popular.
Barney Kessel Laid the Foundation for Modern Jazz, at least to some degree. He helped Jazz to evolve with his many great recordings. The Chords and Chord Progressions of Barney Kessel Took Jazz to new Ground.
Have you ever heard any Barney Kessel Jazz Guitar Recordings?
Do you own any Barney Kessel CDs?
When I worked in a Collectible Jazz Record Shop Barney Kessel was the most sold of all the Great Be Bop Jazz Guitarists, and one of the Top Sellers in Collectible Jazz Recordings. The original Vinyl Recordings of Barney Kessel were priced as high as $400.00. Most likely his Collectible Vinyl is selling much higher at this time. In my Opinion the Very Best Barney Kessel Recordings can be found on the original Vinyl Recordings. I had the "To Swing or Not To Swing" Album and considered it Barney Kessel's best Recording. When I sold this recording in 1985 it was worth $300.00. The Collectible Jazz Dealers cannot keep a Barney Kessel Original Album for very long.
There are many Barney Kessel CDs that you can purchase from the Online CD Retailers.
