: Sharing music is the latest craze since MP3. Do you feel that any sharing of music files is a violation of copyright laws?
: Does the Napster software infringe on artists, labels and publishers copyrights?
: The RIAA has accused Napster of not only facilitating, but encouraging the unlawful exchange of copyrighted music. Do you agree?
: Metallica & Dr. Dre have joined the RIAA in filling suits against Napster. Should independent artists be concerned with the popularity of music sharing sites?
I am listen to a Napster song as I'm writing these comments. I like napster, they have no case against them, it likes if somebody loaned me a book, after they read it. I think the artists deserve money, but not $20 for a CD. Why don't they charge like $6 for a CD, and they charge $0.25 for a song at a MP3 site. I sit in the middle I guess. I am a consumer, but I'm also an Artist. If I came out with an hit, would I want people listening for free? Hmm, this is a tough one.
