Les Paul Studios are supposed to have the same necks as Standards and the pickups are exactly the same. The difference in the name (and price) is because the Studio uses Pearloid Inlays as opposed to real Pearl, the logo on the headstock is painted or etched on as opposed to inlayed, there is no binding around the body, and the tuners have platic buttons instead of completely metal machineheads. In my opinion, the guitar is just about as good, because you really have to know every intricacy of the guitar to notice those differences, and to be honest, most people don't. Sad but true.
