Re: MP3, Copyright, Napster - what do you think? I think that MP3's are fine. They are like anything else. Only bad if tehy are abused. I think the guys in Ketallica shoiuld quit wining. We made them millionaires. We do not owe them anything. They owe us, the fans. I feel as long as people are not downloading the mp3's annd selling them there isno problem. Do we sue the inventors of radio or tape recorders. Last time I checked it ws not illegal to record songs off the radio either.

When I was a kid in 1973, I copied all kinds of music. Still have some of those copies. It was called cassettes. In the meantime I have acquired over 400 records, 200 tapes, and 500 CD's.

The record companies have done mighty well by me. I daresay there was no more money in the till. So screw Metalickers and Doctor Hay. I call for a boycott of both artists and anyone who endorses their extortion of the consumer and the internet in general.

: : Sharing music is the latest craze since MP3. Do you feel that any sharing of music files is a violation of copyright laws?
: Does recording a song of the radio. No
: : Does the Napster software infringe on artists, labels and publishers copyrights? No only trhe people who abuse napster.

: : The RIAA has accused Napster of not only facilitating, but encouraging the unlawful exchange of copyrighted music. Do you agree?

: : Metallica & Dr. Dre have joined the RIAA in filling suits against Napster. Should independent artists be concerned with the popularity of music sharing sites?
