i have tried many fenders. i bought the american standard and had it hopped up with pickups and a friend bought the mexican and it was just as good for one fourth of what i spent. the mexican standard strat is the most for the money. it plays as good as the deluxes and american standards but less than half the money. hard to beat for $349. if you want a humbucker get the fat strat mexican.
