An impossible question to really answer. There are a lot of good manufacturers around. You usually can't go to far wrong with a well-known brand, but the best advice I can give you is to
start off with a reasonably priced guitar, and when you get better you'll know what you like and what to look for.

As a builder, I was never truly satisfied with factory made guitars, although a lot of them are quite good. Just keep in mind that some are priced higher for a good reason and some are not.
