: I bought a chord book, an eletronic tuner, a fisful of picks, and got some songs off the net with guitar chords on them. I started out learning to make the major chords sound clear. I learned A, G, D and E and F and then set out to play songs using A,G, and D (these three chords are used together in a ton of songs) I practise about 45 minutes three times a week minimum and usually run throught the same three songs for a week and then add a song, I enjoy playing basic songs and simple stuff and play along with my wife as she plays keyboard and sings. A Capo also helps, for instance if you capo the third fret and play G, it becomes Bb I think. The capo allows you to strum one chord open and then you just play two chords in a three chord song. I hope this helps and encourages you to continue and make progress.
: : hEy! ok i am looking for anything that could make teaching myself guitar less hard. i mean like websites, steps u have taken i need it all! right now i'm sorta just messing with the strings making little tunes that when i go to play i can't remember i'm in need that bad! i am also looking into writing music any advice would be so kick!
