i have a zoom 606 pedal, an ibanez grx40 guitar, and a dinky little 10w ibanez amp. now i know that the guitar is crappy and so is the amp but its all i have to work with at the moment. im trying to get a certain kinda sound with this setup. i want a distortion that is crunchy but not too bassy. i can get it like this but it just sounds like crap and its too trebley even with the treble turned down on the amp and zoom. can anyone tell me certain settings for the zoom i could try or reccomend another guitar/amp that would be good to get for a good creed/jimmy eat world kinda sound? how could i get the greatest improvement: by buying a new amp or a new guitar? i would really appreciate any help.
