amp selection

I recently purchased a Les Paul Standard Guitar that I am really impressed with. I have yet to purchase an amplifier. My favorite group is the Eagles. I would love to get somewhere close to the sounds that they make. I'm not in a group. Just making music for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
