If you want a good amp with a nice clean, reverb tone and a nice crunch channel i recommend Marshalls, i play an 80 Watt solid state (new approx £320, used £200) and the sound is gorgeous.
To check out reviews on all amps, i strongly recommend Harmony Central Database, has all makes etc and easy to see what others people think, sorry can;t remember the address, just do a search on google.
If the eagles have a website, check out which type of stuff they use there, that ,may give ya some ideas.
