I personally don't see anything wrong with it, you could get a little bit of chatter from the tuners,but if you got it for a good price i'd keep it.: I recently purchased a new sg and got it at a much discounted price for the fact of a cosmetic flaw so to speak. I examined it under the light and saw two thin cracks about a inch long that looked repainted on the headstock. Is there any concern of tone being affected. I mean I have time to send it back but it was sold at quite a discount. I can live with cosmetic flaws as long as they pose no danger to the sound. Thanks for any reply.
