EMG's are alright,but I prefer passive pick-ups.Seymore
Duncan makes very good pick-ups.The SH-4 is fat sounding,warm and clear.SH-5(custom)is one of my favorites.It's not as powerful as some(14.5-15K ohms)but when cranked, has razor sharp clarity and really screams.Bill Lawerence pick-ups are sharp,hot, and nasty.Dmarzio PAF pro is best pick-up they make.
