Epiphones are usually made of cheaper wood,silly pickups, and fingerboards just not real quality stuff.
Les Pauls,however are usually made of Mahagony(hard,beautiful wood). Pickups are good Gibson stock.Made in U.S.A.Fretboards are either rosewood or ebony(good stuff).Paul necks are also shaped better.Remember,Epiphone is the low-end brother of Gibson,so while their product is O.K.,it's not high quality of Gibson.
