you can get a decent martin for under 1500 bucks...i just bought a martin D35 new with case for 1600 with tax and the d35 is a higher end guitar, im sure you could get a new solid wood martin for a little over a thousand, and probably find a used D35 for well under a thousand on ebay. the sound of a solid wood guitar is far superior to that of a laminate guitar like the ones your looking at.
