I don't use an rp 2000 but I had the same feeling about my rp 7 once I figured out exactly what it does and doesn't do. I do like it direct to headphones and I use it for some direct recording. When I do use it in my rig I only use the very basics - chorus, compression, tuner. The auto mute tuner is the BEST thing it does live though...lol
