: i recently bought a mexican strat( jeff beck stylie,white with rose wood neck) and it is a quality instrument,great sustain for a bolt on and it looks the nuts.
i think that if you want to get that real syrypy sound of a les paul the epi is perfect when you stick her to rhythm mode,but the strat seems to have more angles,or a wider range of voice if you will.
failing that check out the new epi casino.it is a great guitar, one that they have perfected themselves over the years;
