My Dad bought his Valencian Tatay in London in 1958. He had learnt to play the guitar whilst a prisoner of war in Colditz. I remember him playing the Bach Chaconne or the Moonlight Sonata on his Tatay. I played it at his funeral four years ago. I have had it refretted, for the original frets were never good enough. The notes now speak clearer with less effort. I own a wonderful Southwell concert guitar, but that Tatay, with its rough and ready construction, yet unsurpassed for beauty and warmth of tone, goes with me everywhere.....

: I have one also - it was my dad's. Has to be at least 40 years old. In perfect condition.
