There are great electric guitar kits on eBay.

try Warmoth , they make bodies ,necks and have parts . Also Carvin sells all parts. Or try a
Allparts.
If you have wood working experiance you can make your own body but it is best to buy a neck.
If money is your main concern, I suggest you buy a used cheap guitar and modify it. It will be cheaper than buying all the parts you will need to build one from scratch.
good luck -

From everyone that I have ever heard that built their own guitars, Carvin seems to be the best kit on the market. VERY high quality product. It does not come with a finish on it though… I have played a completed Carvin kit, and it was FANTASTIC!!!
Good Luck

Certainly buy a pre-formed body and fretted net.
Unless you are an exceptional woodworker making one from ‘timber’ would likely be a disaster.Take a look at http://www.wdmusicproducts.com/
By the way, making a guitar isn’t the cheap way to owning one, you still need to spend quite a bit of 4164380, but done properly you will have a good quality git and the satisfaction of creating a musical instrument.
The cheapest option to owning a good guitar is buying a squier or some such and upgrading pickups, tuners etc as funds allow.
IMHO
All the best

Hey Robert. I’m 16 and last year, was wondering the same thing. You can go to http://www.stewmac.com and order a free parts catalog, from which you can build your own from just parts, or order one of their kits. Also, Carvin.com, and warmoth.com can help. Carvin has guitar kits, and warmoth has some nice pre-cut bodies and necks. Hope I’ve helped!-

Hello Robert, Torres engineering has guitar kits that look easy to build. All the holes are predrilled. The only thing is they do not shape the headstock so you will need to take it to a woodworking class or shop to shape it the way you want. Good luck with the project. : : I’m 15 years old my name is robert I want to know where you can get a kit or something to help me build a guitar and if they dont make a kit can you e-mail me some instructions like what type of wood to use and what do you use to hold it together stuff like that. : ——————– : Hey Robert.
