1963 Gibson Hummingbird

We have a 1963 Blonde top Gibson Hummingbird within our family. It is currently held by one of the elders and we are wanting to transfer it to one the younger family members but want to make it fair for everyone, dollar wise. It is in perfect condition including case and the owners manual. What would be the fair market value of this instrument?

If you really want to be "fair" take what the kid has with a promise he will hand it down too. If you want to make $$ sell it on Ebay...

:: That's a 3,000-4,500 $ gutair. If it's in the condition you say it is in then you could probably get more for it. I would give it to the oldest of those in line for the gutair or the one with an intrest in music. DEFINITLY DON'T SELL IT! those things are rare and beautiful insturments, I would keep it in the family if i were you.
