Hmm.Bill Lawrence L-500's are very hot,bright and nasty! You could probably get the Randy Rhodes(R.I.P)
sound with those.But the powerful Alnico magnets in them maybe too bright for blues.So watch your tone control.L-500's distort very easily.

P.S. Might try the Seymore Duncan SH-5,CLASSIC TONE,but
MEAN at high volumes.
