Hello. I'm not a Kay expert and I wish I knew one. But, I have some fairly detailed information on the History and Features of all generations of Kay guitars; there has always been a distinct lack of pictures in the World. However I will try to help as I share your interest in all post-war electric guitars, especially from the 50's.

If your guitar is a SINGLE CUTAWAY it may be Kay's first cutaway model, the K-1 which debuted in 1952. I don't know of many other examples at that time except for the K-125 "TWIN" (two pickups?) and the Barney Kessel signature model.
