Take it to a pro shop. You may just have laquer checking (cosmetic only, gives it character) If it is a crack, it can be repaired, but it won't look like new again. Not sure about the electronics, depends on whats wrong, might just be a loose wire. have the shop look it over. Ask around about a good guitar shop in your area.
