: Just wondering which you guys are using and what seems to work out better in your experience.

Hey man,

I started out loving pedals, but then my gear got stolen, and I was stuck with my little Peavey Classic 20.

I have never had such a great tone!

I was using a Tech 21 XXL and a Boss Turbo Distortion, but nothing compares to the tone of my little amp wound flat out! I get different tones, clean and distorted by adjusting my technique and the volume control. If I need even more grit, I'll borrow my friend's Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer as a gain booster.

In comparison to the pedals I have used, the tone I get now is more open and lively, 'loud' sounding. It also means I have to be more dynamic as a player to get the best from it, which is heaps of fun once you're used to it!
