boss ad-5 vs. ad-3

I am considering buying either a boss ad-5 or the less expensive ad-3 for use with my Taylor 414. Is anyone familier with these units? Why would I want the more expensive one vs. the ad-3? Also, would this unit work for well for my fiddle as well?
