I'm interested in some pickups mentioned to me by a colleague. Some of the brands I'm looking at are the "Dimazzio blue velvets", "Rio Grande", "Halfbreeds" "Tallboys" pickups...any comments on these pickups in terms of sound flexibility,good combinatios of one or two of these together, testimonials. The objective is to maintain flexibility across most of the music genre, with a need to ensure that tone and separations is maximised especially in a variety of venues eg. outdoor, indoor, dull, bright.

Current set up - Fender Strat lace sensors (gold neck silver mid and bridge) Twin '72-ish, Boss ME10 FX unit
Style: live clubs funk, blues, 80's Pop
