I’ve recently purchased a Guild F65ce cutaway sunburst LEFTHANDED guitar made on Rhode Island. Excellent condition and a real beauty. I paid £ 1350. English pounds. The dealer was from near Liverpool and I live on the ISLE OF WIGHT UK
Should I be a happy camper.?

NT stands for ‘Natural’ as in the finish

I’m no expert on guitars, but from what I’ve read, NT means natural. In other words, not painted. Natural wood look.

It raises the questiopn though. Has anyone ever tried installing and/or marketing an acoustic guitar with a tremolo? I know it’s silly, but someone is bound to have had a go at some point.

Yes, certainly, glw. You’ve done enough posts for me to know you wouldn’t drop a boob like that. OTOH, Lee has more than enough posts to confirm that he would… 😛

Ah, but you know I was joking, right?

      hey bigroom,

I don’t know about the D-50NT but the VG price guide values a 70’s D-55 between $1,200-$1,600. That’s retail in USD. SB

😆 “Non-Tremelo” is my favourite… I have this mental pic of a Bigsby equipped Dreadnought… I wonder if it’s Nashville, Tennessee – who knows?

I guess the price for the NT is comparable to the vanilla D50. Do you have a pic of your ’79 that can be posted here?

I had a real quick look, and I stress quick, and all I could find was people asking what the NT stood for, no answers… yet.

I don’t know the significance of the “NT”, but Guild still make the D50, with a MSRP of $1800. Condition is everything with an old acoustic, but I’d guess $800 if it’s quite a bit worn to more than new price for a 25 year-old in excellent condition. Sorry I can’t be more specific, but I hope the ballpark figure helps.

“NT” means “natural” finish as opposed to a sunburst.
