Big Audio Dynamite guitarist, Nick Hawkins, passed away at his home on October 10 after suffering a heart attack. He was 40 years old.
Although B.A.D was originally founded in 1984, Nick teamed up with Mick Jones, Gary Stonadge and Chris Kavanagh in 1990 to form B.A.D II.
“Rush” from B.A.D II’s debut album, The Globe, reached number 1 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, their second time at the top since BAD’s “Just Play Music!” in ’88.
After leaving the band in 1997, Nick worked on his solo album, Dusk Till Dawn, which was set for release in 2006.
