Some of these twins took a long time between them heading down the old canal:
The Jam's "Start" = The Beatles' "Taxman"
Goldfrapp "Ooh La La" = Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky"
Phil Collins' "Sussudio" = Prince's "1999"
Any other coincidences out there? |

Get it on (bang a gong) T-rex same intro as Cigerettes and alcohol by Oasis.
Oasis same as Beatles. |

You're right about Cigs and booze, Lee. Blimey, I knew Elastica pinched a bit of ideas, but who'd've thought Noel might be over-influenced sometimes?
Any other obvious tune-grabs? |

| i only knew that one cos in one of the bands im in we play Cigs and Alchohol and Get it on, and the other guitarist starts both of them, its a 50/50 to see what happens, half of us join in with bolan while the other half go down the Oasis route, always a recipe for disaster. |

Transvision Vamp.
They were great, weren't they?
That's sarcasm, by the way. |

Didn't claim to be a fan...but I am a bit sad, I research my posts, therefore, I happen to know that if you listen around the 2min mark they even use the der-der-der-duuuuuuuuuuur bit, I suspect I may be the only person to get 2mins through that song. |

Don't get me started on Routemasters! I think it's a crying shame that they are getting rid of them all in London and replacing them with the hideous road-hogging "bendy-buses".
