    – Press Release

    RKS Guitars groundbreaking instruments
embody the first true revolution in electric guitar design in fifty years.
The Southern California-based company’s visionary innovations and proprietary
“Open Architecture” guitar design have been honored with a 2005 Best of What’s
New Award from Popular Science. Winning in the Recreation category — one of
twelve that Popular Science recognizes annually — RKS Guitars were selected
from thousands of new products as having met the competition’s stated
challenge of representing, “a significant step forward in its category.”

RKS Guitars was co-founded by world famous product/industrial designer
Ravi K. Sawhney — also founder/CEO of award winning RKS Design — guitar
legend Dave Mason and information technology pioneer Dale Jensen. The
innovative journey towards creating the company’s electrifying line of
instruments began in 2000 when Sawhney challenged his RKS Design brain trust
to dream up a fresh guitar. Tens of thousands of hours of prototyping and
designing followed, under a team lead by RKS’ Paul Janowski, who brought 20
years of guitar-building experience to the mission. The incubation process
was enriched throughout by Sawhney’s visionary, hands-on design ingenuity and
    Mason’s master musicianship.

RKS Guitars and other 2005 Best of What’s New Award winners will be
spotlighted in a special editorial section in Popular Science’s annual
December “Best of What’s New” issue, perennially the respected magazine’s
best-read issue of the year, available November 15. RKS and other winners
will also be presented to the public November 8 through November 10, 2005 at
the three-day consumer event The Best of What’s New Showcase, taking place at
historic Vanderbilt Hall in New York City’s Grand Central Terminal. Design
visionary and company CEO Ravi K. Sawhney, Ph.D. will be on hand as RKS’
ambassador on opening day, Tuesday November 8, at the interactive event’s RKS
    display area.

Showcase attendees will see first-hand the futuristic “Open Architecture”
construction that’s the unique essence of each and every RKS Guitar, which
begin as core instruments perfected for balance, ergonomics and tone. Ribs and
bodies are then added in a wide variety of spectacular finishes and colors,
creating a “limitless” guitar concept adaptable for a broad range of players,
from music enthusiasts to marquee-level artists. Further, outrageous clarity
and sustain make RKS Guitars’ sonics as unprecedented as the dramatic visuals
of their neck-through-body build. The company also innovates environmentally,
maximizing the use of sustainable materials for a significant reduction in the
use of rare tone woods. Made in the USA, RKS Guitars’ manufacturing process
marries advanced surface modeling techniques-similar to those used by
automotive designers — and CNC programming/machining technologies with final
    precision hand-assembly.

The growing RKS Guitars product line includes hollow body models “Dark
Star” and “Ruby Red,” and the solid body “Sunburst.” Another line, the
electric-hued “Pop Series,” made news earlier in ’05 when the neon-green “Fine
Lime” lit up the cover of the July 4th BusinessWeek Magazine, celebrating the
2005 Industrial Design Excellence Awards. The “Pop Series” was honored in the
prestigious annual competition’s Consumer Products category, and overall, the
company won a “Design Strategy” IDEA for its “Open Architecture” methodology.
The next RKS models into production-the aerodynamic hollow body “Wave”
electric guitar and the 5-String Bass-will be unveiled in 2006.

RKS Guitars are available through premiere Southern California based music
    retailer West LA Music.
