so im gonna buy a dsl100, i originally didnt want a floor model (wasnt sure how “abused” they get in the shop with ppl turinin them on and off w/o warming em up etc) but everywhere round here doesnt have any sealed ones. At guitarcenter they offered to give me the floor model and when a sealed one comes in, tehy said i coudl swtich it. This sound like a good idea? Basically im asking if maybe getting a floor model is better because i can actually play that exact amp before buying. Let me know wat u guys think

If there’s no discount going, I’d want a written guarantee that the new-in-box will be sent ASAP as a no-charge replacement. I’d be looking for some time limit on arrival of the replacement, too. Otherwise, you’re being sapped for an ex-demo model at full price. I know I sound cynical, but I wouldn’t just walk out of GC with it otherwise.

Do you get any money off from it being the ex-demo model? you usualy do from our local shops, but then they usualy have a good stock of new equipment where i am.

I once rejected an amp out of the box, it was one of those Marshall 100watt accoustic amps, and i could see the screws that held the amp to the chasis were burred off, like someone had taken the amp out of the combo for some reason? the salesman thought i was being silly, but i told him i didnt want an amp that looked as if it had had a botched repair before even being played for the first time.
If i were buying an ex-demo i would want money off, or i would want new.
