I doubt if they cared about small imperfections because they finished the bodies their selves. The guy use to be easy to contact, plus he would build you any type of body you wanted. You might contact him and see what he says. JLR

His shipping charges from Brazil are pretty reasonable too. I know from experience that having a body made from my measurements doesn't work out but if I can find Mustang bass specs from the 'net it could work. I'll wait for ever to find a Fender lefty body up for sale.
