Can anybody help me find......

nope not somebody to love.

I need some tech help on repairing one of my electrics--it's a tanara, i have already researched but can't locate a tech description or a model number. The guita is all black, strat knock off in shape, possibly a bit smaller bodied, it has a solid ash neck which is the main reason i even am bothering to try to fix this thing--it has a strange pup arraingement-two doubles-possibly humbuckers?-a single tone and single volume knob and two different switches -the larger one pretty obliously pup selector-has forward, middle and back positions, the other smaller switch is a single throw-front back switch and i am not sure just what it does--a coil splitter?--my problem is the electronics are flaky-switches finicky and i want to make it reliable--any advise , especially low cost solutions would be appreciated--i bought this guitar from an acquantance with a hard case for $50. US and don't want to put a lot of cash into fixing it, but i would like to be able to play it in reliable condition-it plays pretty well and actually has some nice features, bridge tuners ect.

Hello Goldie, an ash neck :?:  That's pretty novel.

I've never heard of Tanara, but it does sound like the "superstrats" that were popular in the late 80s to early 90s. I'd go with your hunch that the big DPDT "on-on-on" is the pup selector and the mini allows for HB to SC coil-splitting. If the pups have four wires coming out, then they can be set up for this.

http://www.guitarelectronics.com/ is a really good site for working out what's possible. It's not too head-scratchy on the diagrams either. This bit is closer to home for you:
