There's some proper monstrosities on there, I especially like this (theres no better pic of it, wonder why)
Though I have to vote for 'relics'. I absolutely cannot stand that, especially on expensive guitars. I know, what I really fancy is a custom shop gibson that looks like some moron attacked it with a belt sander. |

It might take time to find on this thread, Leb, but a Tele-copy was DIY relic'd by some eBay moron who, not content with a belt sander, got out a blow torch. Carbonized fingerboard; very "vintage" looking |

Yeah I saw that. Wonder if that comes under wear and tear or "Some bastard set my shed on fire" |

Hmm, I have some spare chrome skulls, scorpions and stars, but not enough of any to go around a guitar. What should I do with them?
The same makers have this 'surprised' looking snake:
a (w)anchor shaped guitar:
and naff looking axe (I particularly like the unrealistic blood effect):
while this Mossy Oak acoustic is, according to the makers, perfect for camping trips. Of course, once that beardy Scout git starts playing "B-I-N-G-O" you can just sling his guitar into the trees and he'll never find it:
Sad to report, that this eBayer made just the one of these purdies (apols for Fleeblink, Mike):
and another auction (ditto, Mike) that has graphics for 11 year old emos:
This Custom Shop SG on Fleeb is just wrong, right?
No comment req'd:
Finally, eBay has turned up a new, Argentine successor to "Carver Doug". Step forward guitarartattack and his "dragon":
and "snake":
$2000 and $3500, respectively. |

I like the SG, NO SG belongs on this thread!! especially a Custom shop! and double especially with a long Maestro trem!!
I demand you remove it immediately.... or else.
The Axe with airbrushed blood is truly naff. |

Somehow, Lee, I just knew you'd object to the SG Trem inclusion . I agree, it's one helluva guitar and I'd have it out of the skip and in my collection in a heartbeat.
It is, however, a gawdawful paintscheme and that's why I posted it here. "Worst finish" applies just as much (even more so?) to the greats as it does to the also-ran copyists and metalmania planks out there, surely? |
