1] Is that another of those "pork barrel" projects?
2] I plugged my lead in, but I got a lot of crackling.

lol @1B.
But I must admit, as a pig lover, it does appeal to me also.

Yep Mike - don't even think of listing that as a "Hallowe'en Ugly Guitar" or you'll be smoted smiteily and I'll be able to smell the lightning burns from here. Incidentally "Hog-Washburn" is easier to get than "Hogwash-burn" but much better than my feebles, anyway.
Back to that bass, pretty reasonable hardware, too high a price, could see one of the numerous church band bass players liking it but two big Qs:
1] Is it me, or is that block graphic over the fretboard very disconcerting? I'd struggle to judge, say, where the 7th fret was from a casual glance.
2] What is the point of AAAA ash if you then slap all that paint over it? Might as well have been streaky poplar. |

I don't see why it shouldn't be entered into the Halloween line-up. Saying it's hideous shouldn't be viewed as some form of sacriliege.
I'm not religious at all (in fact I'm an outright atheist) but even I can walk into a church and admire the magnificience of a stained glass window.
However transferring such a design onto the front of a guitar is not necessarily a good move, irrespective of your own personal beliefs. |

| Im not much for religion either, but, i can see this is an exceptional guitar, it looks very well made, high quality hardware, the artwork is some of the best ive seen, not to my taste, but an excellent guitar, worth the money? maybe not, but then you would have to play it first, also have a look on the sellers other guitars, there are some very nice instruments, i agree with 1bass on the 'Ash AAAA grade' point, maybe Ash is graded diferently from maple, AAAA might mean its tonal quality rather than it's flamed presentation, but it hink if you are into Jesus, then this is the way to go. |

might have might have been read as me joking (albeit with a justified paranoia that some "conservatives" would indeed try and skip around the "vengeance is mine" theory).
Anyhoo, and notwithstanding Lee's deadpan is hard to judge (like Tim, I find intensely North European-looking Jesus a bit odd), that seller does have some stuff that intrigues me. Absolutely straight up, I really do like this:
Again, I have no idea why AAAA flame or quilt maple should be covered with solid paint (A ratings are generally meant to denote figuring; some ash can have lovely grain) but the hardware's good and all the inevitable compromises are well-judged. I also think the proportions are right and butterscotch looks lovely. Twin-necks don't really make sense, but it doesn't stop me thinking I'd like it for the heck. |

| I got death threats when I included that giant heart worm guitar that turned out to be some Indian godess. Surely Jesus wouldn't look highly upon those who would do the same. Surely... |
