    Hi. Well, um, I new and honestly just joined this forum so I can find out some information. I’m honestly clueless about guitars, so I won’t take up too much of your time.

    I inherited this guitar from my grandfather, and I’d like to learn a bit more about it. I plan on actually learning to play it someday. All I do know about it is that it’s an older Silvertone.

    Can anyone help me? I’d like to know more about it, plus even the value of it if there is any.

      Looks like an old instrument, ive heard of Silvertone, whats the stroy behind that brand glw? where were they made? what do they sound like?

      I just sold a similar Silvertone guitar on eBay last week. Mine went for £67, which is not bad for this type of guitar. It’s probably not worth a great deal, but they are great looking guitars and if you enjoy playing it, then that’s all that matters really.

      Actually, mine had been re-finished, but yours looks like it’s all original, so it’s possibly worth more, although it’s still not going to be worth a fortune.

      I expect yours is a Harmony re-badged as a Silvertone – the headstock shape is a dead giveaway.
